Henry never married. He lived in Light House Park, Michigan.
He made small grinding wheels set in a wooden frame, stone was
from the Grindstone quarry. He gave them away as souveniers of
Grindstone City. He also drove a chevy coupe. (story told by
Emerson Wood to sister Bernice) The Chevy rode four people - He
had another male and two girls with him to deliver honey to
Forestville or White Rock, Michigan.
The county was fixing the gravel road on US 25 along the shore
line. Henry hit a rut and lost control of the car, it went
into a ditch rolling onto its side. The honey spilled out of
the containers and all over the girls. They were a sticky
mess.
Henry got word to his uncle, Robert Wood, who had his own
garage at that time to come and pull them out of the ditch.
The girls went to the Woods to clean up because they were honey
from head to toe. they laughed about it after words, no one
was hurt and no honey to deliver!
