In a stunning display, the savage tiefling Kkkrawkk beheaded the half-dragon
Asharag after winning the fight and displayed the head on his halberd
for all to see.

In what was to be the first fight of the half-slaad Amantar, the newcomer
Eremon, a human warrior, failed to show for the fight. With Eremon's
forfeit, all bets on Amantar are covered, but the half-slaad is not
awarded a win.

After an argument between Asharag and Nick Dearsa, leader of another
new contingency the Righteous Champions of Altira, the leader of the
House of the Dragon, Scourge, stepped in to issue his challenge to the
Altirians. expect the historic battle soon!

Though a valiant fight, the giff fighter Horunes lost to the thri-kreen
gladiator slave Chek'tu after chopping one of the kreen's arms off completely.

The Duke of Hell on Earth Lord Blix disintigrated his opponent Leafold
Kiln in a third round torunament match today, in nearly record time.

The newcomer Asharag continues to make news as he agrees to sign on
with the newly formed contingency the House of the Dragon.

Ob'sel, the dark elf cohort of the Crusaders of Meph, annoucned their
group would stay in town after the tournament to deal with Asharag,
the interloper who turned one of their own to stone. Though Woody is
back to flesh once again, his artifacts are unrecoverable.
- (2/8/99) An unusual no show today,
Bruenor Battlehammer, dwarf warrior and new member of the dwarven contingency
Quarry of the People, failed to show up for his match with Dor-Die.
Bets on Bruenor were lost. Wagers on Dor-Die were refunded.
- (1/31/99) His most supreme coldness
King Kovak Kopper in cooperation with King Tarok Giantslayer of the
mountain dwarves of Highland have created a new contingency to forward
the cause of all of Moradin's People in the Games of Saberhaven called
the Quarry of the People. All dwarves of good standing are invited to
join.
- (1/25/99) Creating quite a stir
in town is the Red Dragon Man known as Asharag. In his first Arena battle
he turned famed outlaw elf Woody to stone and the Chain Mail and Broadsword
of Ilneval along with him. Keep an eye on this one.
- (1/19/99) After a harsh defeat
by the far eastern arch-mage Kushari, Dalkar Stonebiter left town, reportedly
to visit his family. He was spotted in town today, reunited with The
Circus contengency fighters.
- (1/18/99) A vampire was sighted
in the Waterfront district last night attacking a woman. He escaped
before the Wharfside guard could catch him. Be on the lookout!
