Doctor Beverly Crusher is the Chief Medical
Officer of the U.S.S. Enterprise-D. She is a widow of Jack
Crusher who died while on a mission saving Captain Picard. She
has a son, Wesley, who was an acting Ensign on the Enterprise
before attending Starfleet Academy and becoming a
"traveller." Her important STNG episodes includes: Suspicion
(Beverly risks her career to prove a
pioneering Ferengi scientist was murdered); Identity
Crisis (Beverly race against time to locate
a parasite that threatens to turn Geordi into a alien creature); Remember
Me (she faces a disappearing crew due to
Wesleys warp field experiements); Attached
(telepathic linkage with Picard); The Host
(romance with alien who changed hosts to survive); Sub
Rosa (bewitched by
ghost lover after her grandmother died); and High
Ground (abducted by terrorists).
Beverly
is a gifted doctor who found an antidote for viruses in Naked
Now and Angel One.
She clashed over medical ethics when an experimental surgery that
could help Worf walk again could also kill him. She was born on
October 13, 2334 on Luna and attended Starfleet Academy from
2349-2355. She is a qualified bridge officer and commanded the
ship when Lore's Borg army captured Picard, Troi, and LaForge.
She brilliantly used metaphasic shielding to destroy the Borg
ship in a star's corona in Descent I/II.
