The LEXX picks up retired Bio-Vizier Brizon, who says he can help stop Mantrid. But what will he ask for in return?
Another fine episode in the LEXX canon, as the crew finally confront the man who's been wiping out the universe behind them all season. Now it's time to fight back, and after failing to goad Mantrid into a direct confrontation, Brizon seems like the next best option. Sadly, it seems that they've just traded one evil for another.
Brizon is a wickedly evil creation, and beautifully played by Earl Pastko. His change from weakness and near-death to turning on the people who've helped him is effective, and well plotted. It's an interesting story all told, as it seems the Mantrid problem may be solvable. The LEXX crew get put through the wringer once again, especially Xev, and 790 gets some of his best lines. The last section, in which Brizon gets his comeuppance is a clever twist, and the CGI effects are superb throughout. Plus, it all paves the way for a final fight between Mantrid and the LEXX crew in the next episode.
