A woman from Stan's dreams appears on board the ship, along with a group of astronauts from the planet Potato Hole. Sadly they're just in time to meet Lyekka, who is really a man-eating plant.
This is something of a curious beast. It is a bottle show (ie set on the ship), and consists of various people being eaten and Zev being recreated as Xev. The astronauts from Potato Hole (great name) are stereotypical American astronauts, and there are some laughs to be had from their beliefs about their position in the galaxy, but this gets wearing rather quickly, as they're only really there for plant food anyway.
Lyekka herself is a more interesting character, and is treated in exactly the right way by the LEXX crew: she can't help eating people, as that's what she does, and the crew don't hold her responsible for her nature. It's a strange situation when they feel no remorse for the dead astronauts, but it's a refreshingly different outlook. With Lyekka still on board the LEXX, it'll be interesting to see how she's used later in the season, especially as the actress who plays her is more attractive than the new Xev.
