LEXX: 'Luvliner'

Receiving a transmission from a bordello satellite, the LEXX crew investigate in hope of some sex.

Once again, this is a uniquely LEXX idea, and certainly not the kind of thing you'd find in Star Trek, but outside the idea of a satellite of shag, there's not much of a plot behind this episode. Once the crew arrive at Luvliner, it's back to the old 'someone wants to get their hands on the LEXX' plotline.

The best aspect of the episode is the various crewperson's sexual encounters, with the only person who isn't after any gratification being the person who actually gets some. And I still want to know how you turn 790 on short of putting Xev near him.

Xenia Seeberg acquits herself well as Xev in her first time out, making her subtly different to Eva Habermann's portrayal, yet retaining her oozing sexuality and desire to make love. Naturally, the Luvliner is an ideal place for her to go after her lack of choice in men.

It all comes across as an excuse for various scantily clad people to gyrate a lot, without having to put much thought into interesting events, which is something of a shame, as there was surely more potential here than was realized.
