Quick Review of AGttEP by Jarkman: "It's out in Australia - I picked up a copy just the other day. I've only skimmed it so far but it looks GREAT. It's set out in a similar format to AGttAP in terms of physical conditions, spell conditions, proficiencies, inhabitants, locales, adventure hooks, etc. There's a new kit for Etherfarers and two new optional PC races. Nice section on dreamscapes and such. There's a section on Demi-Planes as well (hooray!) including a few new ones - kudos to those on the list that are mentioned as helping compile the list for the PS team. (Those of you who though Michelle was up to something when she asked for the list were right after all :P ). There's a section on reaching prime worlds on through the Ethereal and treatment of the whole Border Ethereal phenomenom does the planes justice.

"All in all, it looks comprehensive and equally as good as GttA. Good work by Mr Cordell, Michelle and Keith Strohm. Easily one of the best PS products to date - great treatment of existing concepts and imaginative expansion upon them. If this is anything to go by on just a quick read, "Inner Planes" will be amazing..."

Planescape Monstrous Compendium, Appendix III

PSMC3Product: Planescape Monstrous Compendium Appendix III (2635)
Designer: Monte Cook
What's It About? Inner Planar, Ethereal and Astral creatures
What Do You Get? 128 perfect bound book with all-new art and many monsters, some old, but most are brand new, and very bizarre indeed! There's also a section on "normal" inner planar beasts, and a useful index summarising all monsters from all planes from all TSR books...
Merits: This is the strangest bunch of monsters you've ever seen, but they're all useful. Some of them'll become old favourites in time, I guarantee. If you're serious about Planescape, or want to use the Inner Planes to their fullest potential -- or learn some of the incredible plots that're going down there -- this book's a must-buy!
Flaws: Some of the art is a bit dodgy, but then other art's great. There are some hard-to-pronounce monster names too, but that's intentional, I'm sure!

Tales of the Infinite Staircase

TFTISProduct: Tales from the Infinite Staircase (2632)
Designer: Monte Cook
What's It About? A series of eight adventures, inter linked but independent, that can be played together or individually against a common backdrop of the Infinite Staircase. For all levels of play.
What Do You Get? A 128-page perfect-bound book. The adventure also inter links with For Duty and Deity, described below...
Merits: A great premise behind the story, and some fantastic locations. I haven't yet finished the whole thing myself, cutter - it's that new! - but it looks terrific.
Flaws: Couldn't tell you yet, though some of the artwork is pretty dire.

For Duty and Deity

FDADProduct: For Duty and Deity (9574)
Designer: Dale Donovan
What's It About? An adventure for the FORGOTTEN REALMS setting, but with adaptation notes for Planescape gamers too. It can be inter linked with Tales from the Infinite Staircase, described above. For high-level parties (levels 10-12 recommended).
What Do You Get? A 64-page soft cover book. I haven't read it at all yet, so that's all I can say. No loose maps, though.
Merits: Several alternative starts are given, for planar or prime characters. The plot sound pretty good, though I've not read it in detail yet...The maps look great.
Flaws: High-level campaigns only, though notes are given for playing the adventure with lower-level parties. Art is good, though only black and white - not the extravagant full-colour we Planescape fans are spoiled with!

The Illithiad

The IllithiadProduct: The Illithiad (9569)
Designer: Bruce Cordell
What's It About? All things Mind Flayer. The Illithiad is the illithid equivalent of the beholder and sahuagin sourcebooks from previous years.
What Do You Get? A 96 page perfect bound book, with good full-colour art throughout and some very snazzy typography.
Merits: Haven't read further than the back cover yet, I'm afraid.
Flaws: Likewise, I really couldn't tell you yet.
