Events and Activities

 

During summer '99, the Compagnie franche de la Marine de Montréal will present its parades on different locations and dates. Here you will find   a short description of each parade and its date and location that the C.F.M. will execute during June, July and August 1999.

I. Time and date of parades executed at the Stewart Museum on Ste-Helen's Island.

The parades and military demonstrations executed by the Compagnie franche de la Marine take place in the Stewart Museum on Ste-Helen's Island during all summer, from june 23rd 1999 to august 29th 1999, from Wensday to Sunday at specified hours:

11h00: Hoisting of the Flag, inspection of arms and  musket drill.

15h00: Bayonnette charge.

16h30: Lowering of the Flag.

III. Location and date of special activities of the Compagnie.

The Compagnie franche de la Marine will take part in many special activities during summer '99:

May 30th (sunday) Journée des Musées. Free entry to all Montreal's museum, including the Stewart Museum.
June 8th (tuesday) Soirée des Parents. First official parade of the C.F.M. for the '99 season.
16th (wednesday) Dîner Bénéfice de la C.F.M. Supper organized by the CFM, for more information please contact Major Nelson Heppell, (514) 861-6703 # 236.
24th (thursday) Saint-Jean-Baptiste. The Compagnie will present its parade like all the other days. Therefor, the Quebec Flag will be hoisted on the mast (once a year only).
19th (sunday) Les épousailles en Nouvelle-France. The Compagnie will go to Québec City for the wedding of the King's Daughters.
July 14th (wednesday) Bastille. The Compagnie will commemorate the french Independence Day along with the General Consulate of France.
18th (sunday) The C.F.M. will presents its parades at Fort Chambly, Qc.
from 22nd (thursday)   au 27th (tuesday) Grand Encampment at Louisbourg, NS. More than 2000 re-enactors and 20 different regiments will be there. Don't miss it.
August 22nd (sunday) Saint-Louis. Come and live an entire day in the XVIIIth century at the  Fort Chambly. The Compagnie will be there to commemorate the birthday of King Louis..
29th (sunday) End of Season. Come and see the last parade of the season at the Stewart Museum..
