. Family: Patrice, wife; Jacquie, daughter, 7 years; Lawrence James (l.J), son, 5 years; seven sisters and three brothers. Occupation: C.P.A.

First job: When I was about 9 years old I worked for a neighbor picking corn up off the ground to be hauled into the barn. I think I was paid about $1.50 an hour and I ended up making over $100.

Worst job: Washing dishes at a truckstop when I was 16.

Favorite job: My job right now in the area of business valuation and litigation support, and Mergers & Acquisitions.

Almost became: A farmer.

Career Crossroads: After working in the accounting department at Circle K for a year I had a chance to move into the finance department. Working in the finance area allowed me to make the transition into what I am doing today.

Wisest lesson learned: Always do your best. Regardless of the effort you put into an activity, you almost always get more back out of it.

Hardest choice to make: What kind of ice cream to buy at the grocery store. I usually gather the information available to me, make a decision and don1t look back.

Hobby: I enjoy doing carpentry and projects around the house.

Easiest way for me to relax: Go for a hike in the desert or mountains.

Personal hero: John Wayne (characters in the movies). He always stood for what was right, was willing to fight for it, and would use the force necessary to complete a job.

Working on: Completing my landscaping in my back yard.

Movies I've been recommending lately: None.

Movies I never want to see again: The Crying Game.

Current reading: Chicken Soup for the Soul.

Most impressive book I've read: 3Do It! Let's Get Off Our Buts" by Peter McWilliams.

Every New Years I resolve: I rarely make new years resolutions.

Most interesting personality: Steve Brown.

Favorite childhood memory: Trapping my first pocket gopher.

One thing I can't stand: People who are not willing to try new things.

People who knew me in school, thought I was: Outgoing and intelligent.

My friends like me because: I have integrity and I stand up for what I believe in.

If I won the Lottery I would: Quit my job, spend time helping the teachers at my kids school, and train for an Iron Man.

Worst memory: Buying stock in Work Recovery.

My idea of paradise is: Soaking my feet in a cold stream out in the wilderness with a couple of friends.

My neighbor is: Frank Cheetum, a fire battalion chief for the city of Phoenix.

A really great evening for me is: Sitting outside with my wife, a few close friends or family and some Blues or Cajun music in the background.

Moments of pride: Watching my children accomplish goals and when people compliment Patty and me on our children1s behavior.

Tense moment: Diving through the water falls at Havasu Falls.

Favorite pet: My dog Duke.

Aspirations/looking forward to: My son being old enough to take backpacking trips.

My favorite game is: Bridge.

Little known fact: I would have my hair buzzed off if it was more socially acceptable.

Speaking/communication role model: Kathryn DeBano Rhodes.
