Several things I've tried in my life have provided thrills completely out of proportion to the rewards. Catching a fish, having a story published and finding bits of gold all fall in this category. You can't just go out and find gold, it's a little more complex than that. You have to know where to look and how to look, but the thrill of that gleam in your pan is hard to describe and well worth the effort.
These are stories I've written about gold prospecting. They have been published in The Gold Prospector magazine. After a year has passed since a story was published, I'll post it here.
"Welcome to I-Bar" and "Leprechauns? In Idaho?" take a long time to load because of the large graphics.
