We decided that after an awful lot of poems dedicated to this subject were submitted, that we ought to make an entire page of it... so here's
(May be unsuitable for younger readers... aww... nothing to graphic, but just thought we'd warn ya...)
Metophorically Speaking
by Kelly
As if looking up at the night sky when lying backs on grass
together, was how I felt looking in his eyes.
The twinkle within them seemed to escape and it would be
captured in a “picture perfect” moment.
To gaze at, hold, and adore for the period of time the same
feeling engulfs my body wishing to be elongated always but,
denied always.
A dream in my mind in which it has happened but, I have only
seen this wonderous metophore in his eyes and tried to keep it.
Never truly enacting it!
Adoration... part II
(name has been changed again.)

Lover's Lament
My heart it breaks for those who cry
who shrivel up and seem to die
when Love has gone and left them cold
No matter if they have been told
The Love of theirs was not returned
Their hearts desire that left them burned
A cold and calculating eye
had given nothing but a lie
And so alone they now do sit
their hearts as empty as a pit
and when they hear their lover scorn
they wish that they had not been born
and then one day that's full of sun
They shoot their lover with a gun
My Summer's Passion by Zemirah Each night I await your return from the dark You blanket my moistened body with your black brood Fingers lightly carress my flushed body Ripples of tingles ravage my soft young, firm, supple, pink body Ripples of tingles ravage me Your hot breath inflames my passion I feel your dark life through my hair and nose between my breasts and thighs and toes Recline and lay here beside my body lay here and rest beside my flushed body I am wet with your heat My body blushes within your gazing inferno Yet you close my eyes with your warm touch Dance upon my lips with your warm touch On my chest you sit, How I love you so much! Dance upon my lips... Dance upon my lips I lay here in these crisp cotton sheets Almost crunchy with freshness But moistened with my body... dampened by my heat Each night I await your return from the dark My eyes close and a smile plays upon my full lips You have come So now I purr in peaceful satisfaction. Who needs a man? When one can sleep..... even better to dream In my summer's passion.

A Single’s Valentine
by Omouse
For those who don’t feel that little tingle
And who on Valentine’s are still single
Let me assure you that you’re not alone.
If you’re sick of watching those love birds twitter
With their thumping hearts all a’ flitter
And you wish this day was flown
If pink and white is not your scheme
And of true love you can only dream
Your Prince Charming is nowhere to be found
And you wish all men could go and drowned
Or find themselves a long piece of rope
I’ll give you this bit of hope
You’re not alone on this double day
And I hope that next year love will come your way.
Love and Stuff
by Liarbyrd
Love be not proud,
it snovels and grovels
and begs for more.
Expects abuse,
demands it,
and I’ve decided to be done with it.
Denied, it flourishes.
Neglected, it consumes.
it either is the greatest pest known
or the best deigned survivor.
And mine?
Gone like the wind…
Frankly, my dear,
i don’t give a damn.
Currently.
But tomorrow is another day.
Heart of Secrets
by Athene19
You'll never know you've taken my heart
And hidden it in some place I'll never find.
Inside, my love is burning only for you,
Yet you'll never know.
Cos you've taken the key that unlocks my heart,
Where my secrets are kept for all eternity.
And until the day that you'll discover my secrets,
I'll reckon that dreams are better than reality
Cos you can't refuse my mind's imagination.
A poem by Geraldine Doetzer
why, why, why?
did I fall
deeply
passionately
on the swooping wings of swallows
in
love
with
you?
nothing but PAIN
and tears
and long evenings alone by myself
with only my cat to keep me company
WHY?
WHY?
WHY?!?!?!?!!?
Sunny Bumblebee
by Gordan the Destroyer
OH sunny little bee
on a flower fair
go and sting someone
in their ugly hair.
Go crawl around their eyebrows
and right up their nose
after finished with their head
make hurt their little toes.
OH sunny little bee
do not stop there
go inject your nasty venom
in their person everywhere.
For I have just broke up
with that little @#$%
so at the very little least
make her hurt and itch.
