Our PhilosophyAlcohol consumption has long been accepted as a normal and desirable part of life. Since the early years of civilization, alcohol has played an important role in society. Throughout history people have used alcoholic beverages with meals, in religious ceremonies, for medical purposes, for ceremonial functions and social gatherings. The Bartending Institute is dedicated to thorough, professional training of individuals who wish to enter the bartending field. Our comprehensive up-to-date program provides understanding of both alcoholic beverages and the ingredients used to mix those beverages. In addition, our students are well versed in the proper mixing of cocktails, wine and beer service, basic bar operation and management, ordering supplies, handling money, liquor laws, customer service and responsible liquor service. The Bartending Institute provides students with the opportunity to develop these skills and enter the field as a professional bartender. The Bartending Institute keeps class sizes to a maximum of 12-to-1 student/teacher ratio. This allows for individualized training and special assistance if students require it. Upon completion of our 40 hour program students are given instruction on how to search for a job in the bartending field utilizing our placement assistance. It is not alcohol itself, but the abuse of it that is dangerous. The Bartending Institutes students are taught to be concerned professionals, with a moral and ethical obligation to patrol consumption of their customers. The best preventative measure lines in a responsible attitude toward alcohol dispensation. History and OwnershipThe Bartending Institute is a member of the Professional
