REMEMBRANCES

This page is dedicated to the memory of two shipmates; Jeddiah Monroe Boyce, Ships Cook 2c, S Division and Thomas Lawrence Ruff, Yeoman 1c, R Division. In the early 80's they asked reunion members to share their remembrances. Twenty-three responses were received. These responses were compiled and along with other items and pictures distributed, in 1983, to the reunion members as War Diary, edited by Jed Boyce and Tom Ruff. Additional remembrances have been received and added since 1983. These and any new remembrances have been and will be interspersed on the original remembrances pages.
The number of remembrances, now totaling fifty-eight, exceed the capacity of one web page and, also to minimize the web page loading time the remembrances have been divided, currently, into eleven web pages. Please click on the following Page Numbers to go directly to that page or, click on "CONTINUE on next page", near the bottom of each of the remembrances pages to read all of the following listed remembrances in sequence.

Jed's and Tom's are the first three remembrances. Stop by and read them all. They brought back many memories, some disturbing, some pleasant, all interesting, all from the heart. Here in their own unedited words:
