The Falcons are going to the BFL Bowl after winning a wild game over the Black Knights.

Falcons Beat Black Knights in 4 OT!

August 10, 2005- It was probably the best game in BFL history! The Falcons (4-0) beat the Black Knights (3-2) in a classic BFL game. These two teams left it all on the field. Both teams had blown leads, made great plays, and wouldn't stop battling. It ended in a record setting 4th overtime period. In the end, Ross of the Falcons won the battle 88-85.

Early in the game, the Falcons took a 21-7 lead over the Black Knights after a defensive stop. But the two teams would keep scoring throughout the game. As the half came to a close, the Black Knights cut the lead down to 35-28. John then caught an onside throw and soon tied the score up at 35-35. Ross would score as the half closed and took a 42-35 lead into the break. The teams would keep matching eachothers score with Ross going up by 7 and John tieing it up.

Howie was on fire throwing a total of 22 Touchdowns and making spektakular throws. This might have been his best game to date.

However, with less than a minute to play and the score tied at 70, Ross made a huge mistake by allowing John to strip the ball and score a quick touchdown. John took the lead for the first time in the game 77-70 with very little time on the clock. As the game clock ran out, Ross caught a long pass to send the game into overtime.

Then in OT, John caught a 3, and was a bat down away from going to the BFL Bowl, But Ross matched it. Then in the 2nd, Ross caught a 3 and John matched it with a 3 pointer over his own. Then in the 3rd OT, both teams caught 2 pointers. Then in the final OT, Ross caught a 3 pointer. Needing a 3, the final pass fell incomplete sending the Falcons to the BFL Bowl.

Notes:
-This is the Falcons first BFL Bowl Apperance.
-This was the first Quadrouple overtime game ever. Only one other game went to double overtime, BFL Bowl IV.
-Ross beat John twice this season, both in very close games. The only other team to do that was the Icebergs of 2003.
-Howie continues his remarkable playing, having not thrown an interception in the Playoffs. He is having a record season.
