May
25, 2005- The Sparrows (1-0) were on
a mission to get back into the post season after missing the playoffs
in 2005. However, one of the most improved teams, the Fear (0-1)
put forth a solid effort making this a great game. Both Teams held
double digit leads. After an early interception, the Sparrows found
them selves out in front by 13. But after cutting the lead down
to 6, the Fear successfully converted an onside throw and soon took
a 1 point lead as the half ran out.
The
Fear would eventually go up by 10 to start the second half. But
Ken played a perfect 2nd half forcing 2 defensive stops and catching
every attempted pass. The Sparrows win it.
Notes:
-The Sparrows ended a two game season opening losing streak and
now are 6-2-2 all time in season openers.
-The Fear are now 1-4 in season openers.
-This was Ross's first game at quarterback.
-The Sparrows lead the all time series over the Fear 2-0
