Love this product for dry skin July 2, 2006
I have dry, sensitive skin, I am 49 years old. I hate
using anything on my face that needs rinsing off because even water
dries my skin. This cleanser is extremely gentle. I have given it to
my kids to use. It is soft, smells good, not perfumey at all, and
feels great. My skin looks and feels great after using this. This
product has finally allowed me to wash my face and get it feeling
really clean. If you have dry skin or sensitive skin, don't be afraid
to give this a try.

Not worth it June 27, 2006
Due to its popularity, I was compelled to try out
Philosophy's Purity Made Simple. I like to see the results for myself
and I figured it doesn't hurt to try a 3 oz. bottle of this product. I
have sensitive skin and I usually break out in what would look like a
mosquito bite. After using this product, I would break out everyday
and the size is bigger than usual. I kept using the product for 2
weeks thinking that my face is just experiencing some chemical change
and I was hoping that it will clear up after awhile. Since I kept
having these spots on my face for 2 weeks, I stopped using the
product. As soon as I stopped my face cleared up. On the positive
side, this product does take off your make-up provided that you follow
the instructions.

Not that great June 13, 2006
I recieved a mini bottle of this product when i
purchased hope in a tube eye cream, i always wanted to try this wash
because i saw a vast amount of good reviews for it on amazon, amongst
the vast positives were also some negatives, and they all had the same
thing in common, new or more severe acne after the use of this
product, little did i know i would be part of this team of people. I
was very very disappointed in this product, i know it was free but
after using this face wash morning and night for two weeks i started
developing acne where i had never developed acne before, - on my jaw
bone, it was very weird, because i had never experienced acne on this
part of my face before. However the majority of people seem to like
this face wash, so its up to you really, just dont be surprised if you
do develope acne, probably to do with the wide selection of natural
oils theyve put in the product that contributed to the acne build up.
if you do feel skeptical but still slightly interested i recommend
asking for a mini sized sample bottle to try before buying the regular
size, you never know, you may be glad you did.

Best Cleanser I've Ever Tried! May 29, 2006

I have somewhat oily, quite sensitive skin, and at
almost 25 occasional breakouts. I had been hearing/reading things
about Philosophy and Purity Made Simple for about six months and while
I'd been wanting to try it, wasn't sure I wanted to commit to such an
expense. Well, about 10 days ago I went with a friend to a mall that
actually had a Sephora store and therefore carried Purity Made Simple.
I bought a bottle and once home I loved it. It smells great (not
medicinal at all!), like a lemony herbal thing and left my skin
feeling like silk. Like promised it does remove my eye makeup. I'd
tried Proactiv previously, and living in Florida, I thought the
redness that covered my face was a sunburn, but I was wrong. Within
one use of Purity Made Simple, the redness on my face was cut in half!
However, I must say I did have one drawback with this cleanser. About
5 days after using this product, I did notice a bumper crop of
breakouts on my chin. So why the 5-star review? Because, I attributed
the breakouts to a change in skin care regime and kept using the
Purity, being a bit more dilligent in massaging it in every use. It is
now about 5 days after the breakouts arrived and they along with the
accompanying redness are practically gone. Something I just noticed
last night which I am ecstatic about is that not only are my pores
looking a bit smaller, but a permanently enlarged, open pore from
having a large blackhead extracted 10 years ago is beginning to close
up! I never thought that would happen. I will definitely be purchasing
more of this cleanser in the future and will try other Philosophy
products as well. I am also planning on getting a bottle to put in a
gift basket for my cousin's high school graduation. I love this stuff!
Thank you Philosophy!

clean and soft May 23, 2006

After using foaming cleansers for years I bought this
one after trying a sample from a Philosophy counter at the mall. I
loved it for its smooth texture, clean scent, and ability to wash off
makeup and any other residue on my face. You do have to massage it on
for at least 30 seconds as the instructions say in order to get the
best results. It rinses off clean and leaves my dry skin feeling soft.
It's a keeper!
