Raajaa Dashrath got very happy to hear all people's opinion about Raam. He again said - "This is Chaitra Maas (March-April). We will perform the ceremony this month only, so collect all necessary things for the ceremony." Then Raajaa said to Guru Vashishth Jee - "Please tell what you need for the ceremony." Vashishth Jee asked the servants to collect all materials by next day morning at king's Agnishaalaa (fire house). He asked for gold and the like, diamonds, materials for worship, various herbs, floral garlands, corn, honey, Ghee (clarified butter), new clothes, chariot, all weapons, elephant, white Chhatra (umbrella), staff etc.

Good sweet smelling rice with milk and yogurt should be arranged for 100,000 Braahman and it should be given with corn, Ghee, milk and yogurt, and lots of gifts to all Braahman tomorrow at dawn. Flags be hung, water should be sprinkled on royal grounds, all royal dancers and musicians should also be present, all warriors should be dressed well with their proper weapons and should be present there.

First Dev worship should be performed, then food and sweets should be distributed to Braahman and they would be satisfied with Dakshinaa.

After instructing thus, Vashishth Jee and Vaam Dev Jee started their work. After finishing their work they asked Raajaa Dashrath to call Raam for the ceremony as everything was ready. Dashrath sent Sumantra to bring Him there. Sumantra brought Him in a beautiful chariot. Dashrath looked at coming Raam for long  and as he looked at Him, his desire to look at Him increased.

Raam arrived and greeted his father. Raajaa embraced Him and offered Him a gem-studded Aasan (throne) to sit upon and said - "You are my eldest son of my eldest queen and are full of good qualities, therefore you are very loving to me. When Moon is in Pushya Nakshatra, then you will be the king, because the public has also approved you for this status.

Now you listen to me, I tell you something very useful for you. Keep your Indriyaan under your control. Do not be even close to any bad habit and do justice with all public with proofs; and always comfort public and army. Keep collecting gold and gems and rule keeping your employees satisfied."

Friends of Raam told this news to queen Kaushalyaa. The queen gave them gems to hear that news. Raam also went to His palace and got happy to hear the opinion of public about Himself. All people went home.

Sarg 4 - Dashrath's Conspiracy

Raajaa Dashrath decided to perform this ceremony the next day in Pushya Yog. He went to his palace and said to Sumantra - "Bring Raam to me." Sumantra immediately went to call Raam. Raam being not sure of his arrival again, asked Sumantra to tell Him all the matter clearly. But Sumantra only said - "Dashrath wants to see you again." So Raam went to see Dashrath again. As He saw him, He prostrated him with joining His palms.

Dashrath embraced Raam and said to Him - "I have enjoyed all kinds of pleasures in my life. I have given all kinds of donations, Yagya and other necessary Karm, so I am free from any kind of Rin to the celestials [by performing holy sacrifices and Yagya];  to sages [by studying Ved etc]; to my ancestors [by getting you as my son]; to Braahman by giving away donations and food]; and to myself [by enjoying everything on Prithvi].

Now people want you be the king hence I wish to appoint you as Crown Prince in an auspicious Muhoort. It is not only people, but I also want to appoint you as the Crown Prince. Raam, Astrologers have informed me that Sun, Mars, Raahu like stars are encroaching in my birth star, and when such moments come then Raajaa either dies or meets an accident. So before my mind changes, because people's mind are always changing, so I wish to appoint you as Crown Prince tomorrow when Moon joins Pushya star.

Therefore I wish to perform everything soon. Spend today's night with self-control with Seetaa, keep fast from now onwards and you both sleep on the Kush grass bed. Hurdles are expected in such good works so your friend will protect you from all sides.

In my opinion your coronation ceremony should be performed while your brother Bharat is away from here. Although Bharat is very righteous and follower of his eldest brother but still it doesn't take much time get enlightened." After this Dashrath permitted Raam to go and Raam went away to His palace.

Raam immediately went to His mother's palace where He saw Kaushalyaa wearing silk clothes in meditation of goddess Lakshmee. Hearing the news of Raam's coronation Sumitraa and Lakshman had also come there even before Seetaa. Raam said to her - "Tomorrow I will be crowned as Crown Prince, so by the order of father, Seetaa and myself will keep fast tonight and sleep on Kush bed. So Hey Maa, If there are any other auspicious ceremonies for it, please make Seetaa and me perform them."

Kaushalyaa got very happy to hear this news and said - "May Bhagvaan always be good to you. You are born in auspicious moments. Whatever I asked for from Pundareekaaksh Bhagvaan, it is fulfilled today." Raam said to His brother Lakshman - "You rule this Prithvi with me, because you are a part of my body. Whatever is going on, it is for you, even my life is for you." And Raam went to His palace along with Seetaa.
