Sarg 54 - Seetaa Arrives in Lankaa

Seetaa couldn't get any help on the way, but She saw five bears sitting on a mountain. Thinking that they might tell Raam about Her She dropped Her upper red cloth and some jewelry amidst them. [These ornaments were supposed to be one nose-ring, one earring, one bracelet, one biceps-let, one anklet with tinkling bells - all from Her right side as showing left side items to husband is improper. The anklet which fell from Her feet on Earth was from her left feet.] But Raavan couldn't know this. Those Vaanar saw Seetaa crying with their winkless eyes.

Raavan crossed Pampaa and proceeded for Lankaa. Raavan was stealing his own death. Now below was the un-drained sea - the ultimate course of rivers, house of shark alligators etc sea animals and home of the Rain-god Varun. he hastily crossed it over. Sea also saw Seetaa being abducted like this. Its waves got calmed, its animals stopped moving. Siddh and Chaaran etc appeared in sky and said - "This will surely destroy this Raakshas."

Thus Raavan entered Lankaa carrying Seetaa (his death). Lankaa had many houses and symmetrical roads. He took Her to his palace chambers as once Maya Daanav put his nymphet Hemaa [in black hole], [this episode is mentioned in Kishkindhaa Kaand, Sarg 51]. and then said to his horrific Raakshasee of his palace chambers that, "Nobody should see Her without my permission, nor should anybody say anything unpleasant. Whatever She asks for, gold, jewels, pearls, apparels ornaments etc, give Her immediately. If anybody will not obey this, consider her dead."

After saying this when he came out of his palace, he saw his eight warriors. Seeing them he admired their might and valor and said - "You go with your weapons and live in Jansthaan, where Khar used to live but now there is no Raakshas living there. Don't be afraid. All Raakshas have been killed along with Khar and Dooshan by Raam. Although very mighty forces were sent there but Raam has killed them all. that is why I am very angry. I will surely take revenge of this from Raam. Only after that I will be at peace. You keep track as what Raam and Lakshman do and inform me about their activities. Be careful and think about the way of Ram and Lakshman's death. I trust in you that is why I am sending you there." And they went to Jansthaan with their unperceivable appearances.

Sarg 55 - Raavan Requests Seetaa to Become His Wife

After sending those eight warriors to Jansthaan, Raavan got amused that he has accomplished a great job. Then he returned to Seetaa to lay up on his eyes on Her. There he saw Seetaa weeping amidst Raakshasee. She was very sad. Raavan showed such sad his palace which was comparable to any paradisiacal palace. it had innumerable skyscrapers, adored by thousands of women and visited by thousands of various birds. He showed Her those pillars which were made of gem-studded gold, silver and quartz and on which ivory and gilt work was done. One could hear the sound like divine drums all around. Raavan took Seetaa on stairs and showed Her the windows which were made of ivory and silver  He showed Her various floors of his palace, ponds and other houses.

After showing Her his best palace he said to Her - "Hundred million (10 Crore) Raakshas are here, 220 million (22 Crore) are there. Thus I am the king of 320 million Raakshas omitting the weak, old, young. 1,000 Raakshas rush for my single work. O beautiful, All of them are yours. You are dearer to me more than my life. You be the empress over my all queens, if you accept me as your husband. Show compassion on me as I have a burning desire for you.

Even Devtaa cannot dare to attack my kingdom. I don't see anybody as mighty as myself among sages, Devtaa, Yaksh, Gandharv etc. What you will do with that Tapaswee. Drop His thoughts and enjoy life with me. My life span is seamless. It is beyond His capacity that He can come here and take you from here. So forget Him. [Raavan as devotee of Lakshmee, says that you be happy here, soon Raam will come and take you because we have our own dealings, so why do you care? Live here happily and you will see Him soon.]

Hey Seetey, You rule on this kingdom. Everybody will obey your orders, so be happy, adorn yourself with good clothes and jewelry and enjoy yourself riding on this Vimaan (Pushpak Vimaan)." [Here Raavan offers everything including the results of his good deeds and surrenders himself in the service of Lakshmee Jee.]

Raavan was saying all this and Seetaa was crying covering Her face with a cloth. Raavan again said to Seetaa - "Let my ten hands massage your two feet. Do me this favor because I am your servant. Please be pleased with me." After saying this Raavan thought that Seetaa was his.
