Sarg 3 - Hanumaan In Lankaa - 1

As Hanumaan entered Lankaa, he heard the sound of sea. Lankaa looked like Alakaa Puree which was safe guarded by mighty Raakshas. All around it was gold boundary wall. He heard bells ringing in the houses. Houses there had golden doors, gem-studded platforms. Seeing all this he thought that this Lankaa cannot be won by power. Only powerful people like Sugreev, Ketumaal, Riksh Raaj can enter this Nagaree. He got happy to remember Lakshman's bravery.

As he entered Lankaa, Lankaa named Raakshasee stood up and asked him - "Who are you and why have you come here? And how did you enter this place, because it is difficult to enter here?" Hanumaan said - "I will tell you who I am. but you tell me first that who are you?" Lankaa said - "I am the guard here appointed by Raavan. Nobody can be alive by insulting me in this city. You also cannot go back alive." Hanumaan changed his form in a huge size and said - "I have come here to see the houses of this city." Lankaa said - "You cannot see them while you are alive." Hanumaan said - "O woman, I will go back after seeing this city." 

Then Lankaa hit him with her fist. In turn Hanumaan also hit her with his left fist. She became weak and fell on the ground and prayed Hanumaan - "Kindly protect me. You have won me with your bravery that is why I tell you this that Brahmaa Jee once told me that at one time one Vaanar would come to me, and he would win me. At that time you should know that that time had come for the end of all Raakshas. That is why now Raavan will be destroyed along with all his Raakshas, because he has abducted Seetaa. So Hey Hanumaan, Now you may go inside and find out about Seetaa wherever you want."

Sarg 4 - Hanumaan In Lankaa - 2

[With the permission of Lankaa] now Hanumaan entered Lankaa with his left foot first. There were flowers all over on either side of the roads. City was lighted very well. Sound of singing and playing instruments was echoing all around. Some Raakshas were reading Ved. There were many guards with weapons and spies in disguise. Then he saw Raavan's palace. It was a majestic building. It was all white. Its boundary wall was made of gold and its gates were gem-studded. He entered the palace smelling sandal etc smells.

Sarg 5 - Hanumaan In Raavan's Palace

As Hanumaan entered the palace, he saw Moon in the form of a bull - he was the same Moon who throws light all over the world in the night and pulls sea towards himself [on a full Moon night]. Outside the palace in Lankaa, all women were enjoying with their husbands. Hanumaan saw many houses which were situated side by side and their Raakshas were abusing each other raising their arms. Some women were sleeping, some were laughing.

There were some intelligent Raakshas also who were of sweet nature, regarded their elders and had beautiful homes. Hanumaan saw some women who were soft-spoken and clear-hearted. Some women were sitting on roofs with their husbands to please them, because they knew their Paativrat Dharm. But he didn't see Seetaa anywhere.
