sweeper   Power Sweeping your lawn in the early spring has many desirable results. It will get rid of debris and thatch (see links page) that has accumulated over time and has not decomposed rapidly enough to avoid interfering with grass growth. By eliminating thatch; water, nutrients and sunlight can penetrate to where it is needed much more easily, resulting (in conjunction with a properly managed maintenance program) in a lush green carpet you can be proud of.

sweeper    It also gets rid of a large percentage of the sand that inevitably ends up on your lawn from winter road plowing operations. Sand, if left to accumulate, creates a layer of soil on the surface that has very poor water retention characteristics and likely contains traces of the chemical melting agents used all winter long. This combination results in a much weaker turf that is much more susceptible to disease, drought, and the infiltration of weeds and crabgrass.
