Set in the beautiful
rolling hills
of North Carolina!

Welcome to Bonnybrae! Our "lovely hill" includes 10 acres of rolling meadows, and lovely woodlands that offer a welcome cool spot on a hot summer day.

"Big Running Creek" marks the back boundary of our property. Its personality runs the gamut of being completely void of water to a 5-foot-deep torrent of rushing rainwater

Even in the summer, there is usually enough water to supply two dogs with a much-needed drink, and often there is enough for an invigorating splash. After a couple days of rain, there is enough water for a rousing game of "Marco Polo"!

Although we have lived here for five years, we feel blessed each time we look out our windows or walk through these lovely woodlands and meadows.

About 3 acres are wooded, with the remainder being open or tree-dotted meadows. To the right is just one of the many bends in "Big Running Creek."

The woods are entwined with sun-dappled trails, ready for our off-road toys and the horses of our dreams.

  Our downsized family consists of a college age daughter and two parents. Two older children are on their own now. There is still a lot of activity here though, because we're owned by eight pets - a Sheltie, a collie, 3 cats, a fish, and two horses.
