MY CHOSEN SISTERS

I told you that I would be sharing my new found friends within these pages....meet Dorothy Womack....She is a poet, author, mentor, and best of all a FRIEND!

In the course of our lives we often are given a special angel who walks at our side. One who is there to listen without judgement and can look deep into our hearts. God granted me that angel when I needed her the most. She was always there to listen and to share...to lift me up when I was down, to make me smile when I felt at my worst. She shared the love of God and gave me insights into  things I didn't understand. She listened with open ears to ALL of the questions I had...which seemed unending! She has become a sister, a mother, a grandmother and most of all a friend to me who offers unconditional love! When I first spoke with her I was sure she was a little old lady, for her wisdom seemed way beyond her years!!!! (She is younger than I am!) (And I am NOT that old!!!!)

OUR MOTHERS.... FOR WITHOUT THEM WE MAY NEVER HAVE MET!!

The following poems were written for Dorothy.

WHY????

Many years ago I sent you to a special place called earth.
Angels sang and mortals clapped when they heard of your birth.
Your mother held you in her arms and whispered in your ear.
I will love you always and care for you my dear.

Little did these mortals know my plan for you was great
To take the love I gave to you and help dispel the hate
The years flew by oh so fast and soon your mission came
For I have called you Dorothy, I know you by your name.

I gave to you a heart so full of understanding and love
For life is a big circle, it's beginnings and endings from above.
I needed someone very special to do my work on earth
and so in your mothers dying, in that circle, came your rebirth.

With love in your heart and compassion, you tendered her so dear.
And I want you to know that I, your Lord, was always always near.
Everytime you lost hope or wiped away a tear
I was with you always to help remove the fear

Then one day I saw that you had learned your lessons well.
A fleet of angels came to take your mother from her shell.
To bring her home again where she belonged with me
Her shining soul with no more pain, she now would be free

I picked only you to care for her as I knew you would do it well
And the love you learned from her, within your heart will swell
Now I ask you to move on, to spread what you have learned
To carry the torch and light the way for others....
with the wings that you have earned.

THANK YOU FATHER

Heavenly Father, I thank you for what you have done.
Not only have you given me your very own son,
but you have placed in my path a friend so true
I know she only could have come from you!
So very special she must be to you,
because I have never met a friend that was so true.
You have placed within her a heart so overflowing
and to all she meets, your love is going.
To you she gives the praise and the glory.
Your knowledge, your will with each little story.
She never judges as she reaches out,
even touching those who are deep in doubt.
She has helped me to see..............
all of the things that are yet to be.
With never ending patience she answers my whys,
ever pointing upwards to the heavenly skys.
No matter what I seem to ask,
Nothing ever seems too great a task.
The love she shows must come from you.
It is far to great for any human to do!!
We laugh and we cry and we feel each others pain
and with every conversation I can see the gain
that we make together as we reach out to you
Standing as ONE as we listen to what you would have us to do.
So thank you Lord for the friend you have given me
And Lord I know......it's not hard to see
That she truly is an Angel you have sent from above
To show the meaning of Gods perfect Love!

MY SISTER

One day I opened up my mail
Little did I know then what it would entail

There upon my screen I see
an invitation just for ME!!!!
Please come join me in my group.
Jump on in and be part of the troop.

So cautiously I wandered around,
Stepping carefully on unfamiliar ground
I talked with you a time or two
when all of a sudden I already knew,

While helping me to gain some ground
A real true friend I now had found!!!!
I knew what you held within your heart
that something there had torn you apart.

A little bit at a time GOD gave to me
things I should know to set you free.
As the weeks went on and we shared so much
Each of us was given a healing touch.

You guided my feelings to help me see
It really was okay that I wanted momma free.
You relieved the burden that was sitting on me
and the road ahead I now could see!

But while we talked I also felt your pain
and little by little I saw your gain.
A smile came out like the sun one day
After I said you make me cry at the things you say.

Pretty soon a hug came along
And I could feel it was making you strong!
The more we shared and the more we cried
it was the truth...our hearts were tied

As day by day we began to see
That God had truly made us WE
As one we now walk hand in hand
with GOD between us as our stand.

I help you and you help me
with the bond that ties us we both are free!!!!
Thank you for being all that you are to me
And thank you GOD for making us a WE!!!!

A WEEK TO THE DAY

You came to see me just yesterday
and you were just as I pictured in every way
For months we talked with the written word
and then one day your voice I heard

We shared, we laughed, we hugged on a screen
never really knowing just what it would mean
You were the first I had ever known
to whom I bared my soul and felt I had grown

You nurtured my spirit and uplifted me
my inner self you allowed me to see
and with all of my flaws you still cared
about every little thing that we shared

The bond between us continued to grow
the love between us only a few will ever know
the burdens our hearts carry for each other
is a sense usually reserved only for a mother

we have become much more than a sister or a friend
the tie that binds us will never end
for God has honored this special bond
and upon our hearts has waved his wand

I taught you how to smile and hug and begin to feel whole
and you taught me how to bare my soul
and to cry and share and know that you care
a love and a trust so great there is nothing we can't bare

Then one day God said okay
Dorothy Womack be on your way
Go to your sister and hold her near
and I your Lord will remove your fear

He granted us a week to the day
To laugh and hug and even to pray
A magical week where the bond grew stronger
And next time I pray it will be for even longer

Now you have returned to the box where we started
With the love between us even stronger as we parted
We'll talk again in words on a screen
With far to many miles in between

One thing is sure until we hug once more
The tie that binds us has much in store
For God will see that we remain in touch
As we work together for him we can accomplish so much

Remember I love you and will always be here
To protect you and hold you until you have no fear
I am your sister and friend for eternity
Always remember you are STUCK with ME
