Hylee The Flurry Hatching The only thing Hylee could remember afterwards of the Hatching was being extremely flustered and trying to look all ways at once. She remembered the first hatchling Impress - but then her mind was just a blank as to who Impressed what colour after that. She remembered grappling with the concept in her mind as strange combinations burst from the eggs - duo-winged dragons, multi-coloured dragons, metallic-looking dragons, light dragons - the list was endless. Not one dragonet was the same - and Hylee didn't see one normal colour burst from the shells. Every single hatchling, however, had one thing in common: they all had snowflakes patterned on their wings. Hylee thought this was just strange. But y'know, kinda cute and all... Candidates, hatchlings, Impressions... Hylee boggled at the amount of eggs that hatched - she hadn't known until only a few moments ago how many eggs had been layed by the numerous mothers. And then... A bronze hatched, and started to dig into the sand. Hylee's eyes were drawn towards it - more specifically, towards the eggs that were being uncovered. She was already nervous, since alot of eggs had already hatched and been Impressed - shards littered the Sands everywhere. But the bronze was still digging, now aided by someone who Hylee assumed to be the person the bronze had Impressed. The had uncovered five eggs, when abruptly the last one burst open. Hylee was still just rooted to the ground, watching with wide eyes. A pale green burst out, rushing straight out onto the sands and before Hylee could notice what was going on, the elegant, shimmering green was in front of her, and the girl was putting her arms around the dragonet automatically. For lack of anything else to say, Hylee whispered: "Hello, Raitarth," And then buried her head in her new lifemate's neck. Hylee was told later the exact colour of her dragon, though she couldn't have cared less. Apparently Raitarth was a green SandLight dragon... and Hylee didn't remember it for days. |
