Gone But Not Forgotten

Deanne Brown

Dee was a great friend to everyone.  A friend you would love to have for a lifetime.  She was kind, loving, patient, and lots of fun to be around.  She was a person who was always full of life, and, of course a fantastic mom.  God took Dee and her daughter, Jessica, from us way too early.  But we are fortunate to have known her and to have great memories of a friend who will never leave our hearts.

Brian Canning

Brian Canning passed away on January 18, 1994 as a result of a motor vehicle accident.  He attended Cabrini High School from 1988 - 1991, when Cabrini closed its doors for good.  All students, then having to transfer to Regina in Corner Brook.  Brian was a sports fanatic.  Specifically, he thoroughly enjoyed playing soccer and was quite an accomplished player.  Hockey was his main sport for viewing pleasure, and Wayne Gretzky was his favorite player.  Everyone who knew Brian loved him.  He was fun loving, mild mannered, full of energy and loved life. He lived every moment to its fullest.  Friends and family alike enjoyed his company and his wonderful sense of humour. As a son, brother, cousin, nephew, grandson, friend and last but not least uncle, to his one and only nephew ( Shelby), he played each role uniquely.  My final word to Brian is that we all love and miss you very much.  You have left us with an extraordinary amount of wonderful memories that keep you alive in our hearts on a daily basis. Thank you for having such a powerful and positive impact on our lives.

David Pike
March 17, 1970 - February 7, 1986

David attended Cabrini from 1983 until his sudden tragic death in 1986 at the age of 15.  People who were lucky enough to have known him will tell you that he was a fun-loving quiet boy.  He did well in school and was very well liked by his teachers and friends.  He had a passion for the outdoors and spent hours outside each day; climbing, sliding, riding his bike, building go-karts, or almost anything he could imagine.  Everyone who knew David will have many fond memories of him, but most will remember him in one way...as a young gentleman.
