Thoughts From My Mind

Friends and Family

I realize most of this has been said before. But I'm going to say it again, in my own words.
In my short 24 years on this world, there are certain things that have become clear to me. #1-God makes everything possible. #2-You cannot make it on this earth without friends. There are 2 types of friends out there. Your normal everday friends and special friends.
Everyday friends are the people that you see all the time, who you chat with, share ideas, thoughts, and an occasional joke. These friends have an impact on your life, but not a deep one. You both share common interests.
Special friends are somewhat different. These friends rank closer to family than just "friends". These special people are a part of you, and without them you would not feel whole. They are not as numerous as everyday friends. You may consider them as an everyday friend, until such time that a great need appears in your life. And this everyday friend will help you in ways that no normal everyday friend could. This is when you will recognize them for what they really are, that special friend. You laugh with them, cry with them, share your innermost secrets and desires. You worry about them, you even get frustrated with them. Just speaking to a special friend has been known to bring a smile to a persons face. Everyday friends come and go. Special friends are there for a lifetime. Special friends have very strong shoulders, strong enough for you to lean on in your times of need. They have big, caring hearts. And most importantly of all, they accept you for who you are, not what they want you to be.
Special friends can even be more important than family. Family can desert you in your time of need. They can turn a deaf ear to your pleas for fellowship. Your special friends won't. Special friends are essential in every persons life.
Special friends are a gift from God. Take time to thank Him for sending them into your life. I thank God everyday for my Special Friends, and they know who they are. I hope and pray that I'm doing my job as their special friend completely, and without error. To my Special Friends, you know who you are, THANK YOU.

Favorite Verses and what they mean to me

Psalm 33:4 For the Word of the Lord is right; and all His works are done in Truth.

Pretty much self explanatory. Read your Bibles boys and girls! Find out the Truth!

Isaiah 28:2 Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.

God's wrath is mighty. As StormChasers, we may sometimes forget the power behind these things of beauty. And remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Every work of God is beautiful!

Ezekiel 34:16 I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: But I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgement.

Stay out of God's way. He will conquer, and He will judge ALL. Any attempt to go against His Plan will result in His stepping in and bringing about His desired result.

Ezekiel 37:14 And shall put My spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: Then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord.

He will fill us with the Spirit. And we will live eternally in the promised land. Because He has said so. I believe Him, do you?

Nahum 1:3 The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are dust at His feet.

God does not have a quick fuse. If he did, we wouldn't be here right now. Although it may seem like wicked people get away with stuff, they don't. God takes His time and punishes them in His own time. And He uses His own methods. Like nature for example. This is not saying that everyone who loses something by an act of nature is being punished. It also is part of Trials and Tribulations.

Matthew 10:32 Whosever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

If you confess that Jesus is your Saviour to others, then Jesus will confess to God that you are washed in the Blood of Christ. And then we will have eternal life at God's side in heaven.

Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Jesus did not come to earth to bring peace because God decided it wasn't time yet(you gonna argue with Him?) Instead, Jesus came to prepare God's army for the fight against Lucifer. We already know who's going to win the war. Who's side are you going to be on?

Matthew 14:14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion towards them, and He healed their sick.

This PROVES beyond a shadow of doubt that God, and His Son have compassion. Plain and simple.

Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said suffer little children and forbid them not, to come unto Me for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Little kids are God's gift. Don't deny them Christ, because they have their place in heaven already. You're only gonna mess up your chance if you deny them their's.

John 13:20 Verily, verily I say unto you, He receiveth, whomsoever I send receiveth Me; and He that receiveth Me receiveth Him that sent Me.

Again, Jesus is telling us how simple it is to receive eternal life. Receive Jesus into your heart, and God will receive you into His house.

Romans 10:9,11,13 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Confess Jesus as your Saviour, and believe, I mean TRULY believe that He died to wash us with His blood, you shall have eternal life with God, our Father.

For the scripture saith, whosever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed

How could anyone be ashamed of Him, that died on the cross to cover our sins?

For whosoever call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Ask Jesus into your heart. Plain and simple. Find Jesus, Find eternal life. It just doesn't get any better than this!

Ephesians 4:17Walk not as other Gentiles walk in the vanity of their mind.

If you're gonna talk the talk, you gotta WALK the WALK! Show others that you have your place in the kingdom of heaven by the way you ACT, not the way you TALK!

Ephesians 4:22-24 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts. And be renewed in the spirit of your mind. And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true Holiness.

Before salvation, you are full of lust. Once you find salvation, you take off the old, dirty, nasty smellin old man and put on a fresh clean one. Just like ya change your underwear.

Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind to one another, tenderhearted. Forgiving one another even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.

This has a very important message. We need to grant others the same kind of forgiveness as the kind Christ showed us when He washed our sins clean with His blood.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all thing through Christ which strengthens me.

With Christ as my back-up, I can do anything. I like that!

Now here's a bunch of Proverbs. I LOVE Proverbs, as if you couldn't tell.

2:11 Discretion will preserve thee, understanding will keep thee.

3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding.

17:17 A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

18:22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favor of the Lord.

18:10 The name fo the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

19:8 He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul. He that keepeth understanding shall find good.

19:18 Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.

Here is a personal favorite of mine!

21:19 It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.

21:30 There is no wisdom nor understanding nor councel against the Lord.
