WHAT POSSIBLE REASON COULD YOU HAVE FOR WANTING TO BLOW UP AN ALIEN IN A DISTANT GALAXY?

I can't speak for what reasons any individual may have for wanting to blow up an alien in a distant galaxy. You couldn't just want to do it to see if it could be done, because you could never know if you suceeded or not.

On the other hand, the CIA has realized that sooner or later aliens will interfer with the CIA's plan to become masters of the universe. True, this may be in the far future (maybe in the year 2323, for example), and so the CIA could simply wait until then to make the aliens explode, since they know how to do it.

But there is a chance, however small, that in the future the aliens will somehow prevent the CIA from making the aliens explode at a key moment. Wouldn't it be best, concluded the CIA, to make them all explode now? This proposal has been presented and is awaiting final confirmation before it is implimented.

And it will be carried out. Let's not fool ourselves about that. National Security is at risk.
