The Explorer Group Ltd

The Explorer Group represents three of the most respected names in the leisure vehicle industry. Formed in 1998, it is one of the largest manufacturers of touring caravans and motorhomes in the UK.

The three brands that form the Explorer Group are Compass, Elddis and Buccaneer. The Buccaneer marque was acquired in 1999.

The Explorer Group distributes to a network of retail outlets nation-wide and exports to Holland, France, Japan and Eire.

At the end of the year 2000, production of all brands moved to a new factory site in County Durham enabling The Group to introduce better, more effective production techniques with more space and potential for new technology.

The Explorer Group is privately owned and managed by a team of Directors with many years of expertise in the leisure vehicle industry. The managers of the company are proud to use the products that they make and our philosophy of putting our customers first is communicated at every level.  

I would like to tell everyone of my experiences with the Explorer group and how I have had excellent service from the company.

I have a Eldis caravan that I bought new in 1994.Recently I started having a problem with a crack that appeared at the front of the van , so I rang around a few dealers including the one that I bought my caravan from to ask for advice but got nowhere , the best answer was oh all caravans do that.

So I decided to fill in the on line form that is on the pages of the website of the Explorer group  but I wasn’t going to hold my breath as the response from others had not been good and after all my caravan was now 8 years old.

And I was amazed when the phone rang and it was one of their representatives who gave me excellent advice on how I could go about fixing the problem.

Well what can I say in response . That’s easy
