Chen Style Hunyuan Taijiquan
forms include: Hunyuan 24-Form, Hunyuan 48-Form, Old Frame Series
1 and Series 2, etc.
Weapon forms include:
Hunyuan Broad Sword 13-Form, Hunyuan Sword 13-Form, Pole 13-Form,
Spear 13-Form, Staff 36-Form.
Theory and other training
programmes fall under the following five categories:
1. Rudiments of Taijiquan:
Theory and training methods such as Taiji yinyang theory, Taijiquan
principles and forms, including general characteristics, special
features and functions.
2. Power and applications
of Taijiquan: Discussion of the forms in terms of the 8 methods
(peng, lu, ji, an, etc) and 5 steps, plus applications, movement
analysis, theoretical knowledge and practical training for each
movement of the forms.
3. Rudiments of Taiji
Push-hand: Discussion of the theory and mechanical principles
behind various types of jing (power) used in push-hand, plus practical
training on push-hand techniques and ways of using jing (power).
4. Rudiments of Pugilistic
Skills in Taijiquan: Discussion of the essentials and techniques
of fighting, plus practical training on fighting skills.
5. Rudiments of Taiji
Neigong (Internal Training): Discussion of theory and the
essentials of neigong, plus practical training.
