ver our earth, that threatens all the fortunes, either public, or private. It is the terrible bankruptcy of eight million punched copper coins that the Government has not been wanting to rescue. In this it is discovered the deceit, the fraud and malice with wich the Minister of the Justice has been proceeding. This Minister on purpose wants to be the scourge of our earth, that is also his unhappy homeland, and that there is a lot of time it rejects him in its breast. Has he been making the misfortune of his country, and does he still want to be reelected Deputy by Minas? The time of deceiving the men already has finished; now with his great grief he must see himself substituted by our candidate Mr. Nasal. Hi Mr. Nasal! Friend! He is napping!

Nasal. (scrubbing the eyes.) No Sire; I am supporting very slowly here.

Grindstone. (interruption) It was a misery such a candidate's choice.

Nasal. Actually, we wasted the time with this stone crust; this will embarrass us.

Impartial. I don't understand the bankruptcy of Mr. Monkey. How can this be, if the copper that punched exists is authorized by law? Do remove the whole copper; how will be done the petty transactions? Don't we already see it with the prize from 8 to 10 percent? And why the reprehension in the Minister of the Justice? Besides all our pledge is to expel of the reelection the Minister of the Justice, and not the one of Finance; for consequence we should impute him all the evils that it comes on Brazil. The bankruptcy, although one cannot explain arithmetically, it is a hateful idea, it makes sensation in the public and the what we want is to discredit the Government. Mr. Impartial should be more acquainted with this tactics.

Impartial. No; I never learned how to deceive.

Grindstone. Mr. President, it is a true of the first intuition that us, not only we legislate for the present generation, as for the coming generation. I consider very mean the 4$000 reis daily subsidy for the Provincial Deputies. The General Deputies earn 20$000 reis and they little more do than us. Therefore, I indicate that our subsidy is taken as the 8$000 reis amount, that nevertheless is not a lot. Sir, the good daily wage is that makes appetite to the work. Come therefore the 8$000 reis a day, and we will see the house full, without having more need that we call the substitutes.

Treble. Nothing, nothing of increments; it would be a nonsense, if, when we complained about a bankruptcy, we de-
