Congratulations, NJ Singles! The Yahoo! club NJ Singles (that's NJ as in New Jersey) celebrated three years of successful clubbing this month. Begun on August 19, 1998, NJ Singles is one of the oldest clubs in the Yahoo! Club/Group community system. They marked the occassion with an offline party on Saturday the night before. That may be one of the keys to the longevity and successful participation this club has enjoyed...they really do enjoy each other's company online as well as off.
We hope you'll join with us (the founders of CFC) in wishing NJ Singles many happy returns of the day. Congratulations and Best Wishes. The club URL is: http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/njsingles
We have this story from our member, Alska_Du: "...I was totally bored and I wanted to meet some new friends in my area, so I created a Club for the county that I am living in, Lorain County. It's not a well known county so I didn't think the club would be that large and that active. Well, so far, I have 26 members, and I have only invited people once. The Club is pretty active, and I have made a few new friends!! We are thinking of getting together--a social meeting to get to know everyone and have some fun! So the Club turned out to be a great idea! :)"
Alska_Du's new club is called Lorain County Fun n Stuff and is for people who live in this area of Ohio west of Cleveland. If you live in the region and are interested in joining the fun, the club URL is: http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/loraincountyfunnstuff.
August 1st was the six month anniversary of brr1964's unlisted club Moms and Grandmas Too. What is particularly remarkable about the occassion is that they topped 10,500 mark in the number of message board posts with 186 members. Wow! that's a real block of talk! but there is always room for additional Moms and Grandmas, so if you are interested in joining this club, write: brenre@yahoo.com
MU_Staff469 (Scott H) reports that his club MU 30 & Up Sex Club, which has only been in existence for just over one month, recently hit the 100th member mark. "I know that may not sound too surprising for a sex club, but we are attempting to limit our male membership to affiliates of the University of Missouri only," states MU_Staff469. He also reports the appointment of a co-founder. "After a recent club happy hour, I appointed one of our members, Quigser, as a co-founder."
We sincerely wish MU_Staff and Quigser continued great clubbing. If you are an over 30 alumnus of the University of Missouri and interested in this community, the URL is: http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/mu30andupsexclub.
"In Guiding On The Go, we recently had a very special club event: the virtual baby shower for mycowsnz and her daughter Shania. The event was a great success! Members played games and chatted and had virtual cake," said Mistybunny.
Guiding On The Go is a club dedicated to International Girl Guide and Girl Scout leaders, where they meet to exchange ideas and advice about guiding. Among their annual projects is a special dedication to the cause of "missing and exploited children". If you are interested in Girl Guides or Girl Scouts as a volunteer leader, check out the URL: http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/guidingonthego.

Applicants for Co-Founder. CFC is looking for a few good people to join our administrative team. We need help in all areas embraced by CFC from advice, advertising, and artistic assistance through records keeping, research, and recruiting and on to whatever starts with Z. We prefer to keep a ratio of fifty members to one administrator and thus find ourselves about three co-founders short. But, that doesn't mean we'll be adding only three or three. We need volunteers who have patience, understanding, and the ability to laugh as well as some online skills. Are you interested? Write CFC_Founders@yahoo.com.

Sharonlower, who recently acquired a new 17" monitor to enhance her on- and offline experience, writes us the following:
Dear Friends:
My son, Elder Jeremy Lower, left our home July 2nd for the MTC (Missionary Training Center) in Provo, Utah for a two year mission in Denver South Colorado area. Our church is The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (known to many as The Mormons). Mom and Dad had to give a Farewell Talk in church, Sunday, June 24th. I was a Nervous wreck! Told some fun stories, and everyone liked our talks.
Afterwards, we held a Reception and had around one hundred twenty or so guests over to eat and greet Jeremy. That Tuesday, July 2nd, we took our son to the LAX and saw him for the LAST TIME! We can write and he will call us on Christmas, and Mothers Day. He has written, and is having alot of fun, meeting new friends, and NOW Biking his way around Lakewood, Colorado. Anyone living there, wave and Feed him! LOL
My husband's father passed away, July 21st. We had the Funeral July 25th. What a Month in our Home!
I am now merging my Yahoo Clubs to my Groups. Just finished my summer newsletter (http://www.oocities.org/LDSWomenOnline/Summer.html). The September and Back to School Newsletter is next.
I am now volunteering in my church, helping those that need jobs, by ONLINE Researching in our area. I am designated the LDSEmployment Placement Specialist.
Love Sharon

NOWAYWINS and his wife both celebrated their birthdays in July. His birthday--his 40th--was on July 20th. Hers--and we weren't told what number it is--was July 21st. We were told that they spent the forty-eight hours of their mutual days of celebration together. Now, that's nice!
Our member lokrin2000 wrote to tell us that he will be celebrating his 42nd birthday sometime this month. See, sometime this month was the closest we could pin him down to a date...for security reasons, we suppose. Said lokrin2000 about the coming(?) event: "You know what I tell people who ask me 'what kind of childhood did you have?' I tell them, 'I'll let you know when I am done with it!' =)" To celebrate the occassion, he bought himself a computer related gift. "Just bought me a trackball!"

Happy AnniversaryLast but not least, Mistybunny, who has been either away on vacation and/or spending every waking moment at home painting, wallpapering, refinishing furniture, and otherwise redecorating and repairing her house of late, and her husband celebrated their eightteenth wedding anniversary on July 23rd. We have it on reliable authority that he gave her a new paint brush and tray and she gave him a box of roofing nails. How's that for practicality? (just kidding) Many happy returns of the day, Mistybunny and hubby!
Have you got some club news--special events, awards, recognitions--or personal news--birthdays, marriages, new pets, new babies, new computers or even woes--you'd like to share? Mistybunny wants to hear from you pronto! Please write Mistybunny@yahoo.Com.
As well as being co-founder of Yahoo! Club Founders' Club, Mistybunny is founder of Guiding On The Go, a club for Girl Guide and Girl Scout leaders and owner/moderator of its sister group Guiding On The Go (Group), and a moderator in CFC_Experimental and Yahoo! Group of Groups
