I recently returned from Nice, France, where I attended the 2000 World Championships with my friend, Sharon. We have written day-by-day accounts of our trip, and I thought I'd post them here so everyone could see them. I will post photos as well (as soon as I've finished editing them all). Some are good, others are very fuzzy. I'm not a photographer, so I'm basically happy with anything that looks even remotely like who it's supposed to :) I hope you enjoy!
The Nice Chronicles
Finally, some Photos!
Yes, I know, I know, it's been a long time coming. But here they are. Not skating photos, but scenery photos from Nice. I hope you enjoy!
Have you ever read Helen Fielding's Bridget Jones books? If you have, here is something you'll enjoy. If not...take a look, you may find it a little odd, but still it's very funny.
Don't you just hate embarassing moments? Of course, we all do. However, in hindsight they're always worth a laugh. Take a peek at our most embarassing moments of Nice Worlds.
Oh, the British... If you're into British humour, or are up for a definite comprehension challenge, go here and read all about the adventures of 'skatecockney'.
Want Some More?
The above photo was taken by Emma Abraham of the two official hotels and the arena in Nice. I thought it might provide a little insight into what Sharon and I have been going on about in our diaries. Off to the left of the picture (beside the Novotel) was the practice rink. Off to the right of the picture (beside the Sofitel) was the pizzeria we've mentioned. Thanks to Emma for letting me use her photo, please click on the link above to visit one of her webpages.
