Mediarito said that if no other PBA team is interested in Feihl, the seven-foot center will probably play abroad, in one of the Arab countries. He said a scout from the United Arab Emirates has gotten in touch with him asking for Feihl and the possibility of his client playing in commercial league there. But some observers are now skeptical of Mediarito's pronouncements. He angered some mediamen when he floated the news that Feihl might be traded to San Miguel Beer. Both San Miguel and Ginebra denied there was any such talk.

Then he announced that Feihl went to Hong Kong for a brief vacation when in fact the player was in town and even scrimmaged with Shell.
