GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS 
Lightning - Warriors 1 - 1
Kickoff time: 6:00 P.M. at Ed Fountain.
Wheather conditions: Nice.
Return match with the Warriors for the first game of the season after have them played on last Saturday on a very well match up game. Warriors came on the field with a revenge on their mind after losing the prior event and demonstated to be a tough team against the Reds. Lightning with good ball control a good clearing at defence played a well first half and dominated most of it creating several chances to score but with shots too center for Warriors's keeper that made several saves. At around the 20' a Pierce shot was deviated by a defender and went in the net giving Lightning the 1-0 lead.
At the second half Warriors came back real strong and determinded to level the
score. They have threathned Lightning's defence several times and in the
first 10" minutes from a corner the ball rebounded from JC and went in goal
levelling the game at 1-1. A lot of occassion for both sides thereafter
and was attack from one end to the other of the field. Warriors had several
breaks with the #10 player and almost went ahead but a good pressure from
Robby, Robert and JC prevent to cold shower. Lightning attacks were concentrate
from midfield sending up Davey and Tyler with exchanges with the rest of
the front line up. A post saved Warriors and other shots weren't enough to
put Lightning ahead. The 2nd half went so fast and was a nice and intense
game for both team creating a lot of exitements for parents, spectators and
fans. A well deserved 1-1 score for both teams and kids were happy for a good
well played game.
Next, Lightning will play the Stingrays Hornets that have played very
well in the last few games. Here is a chance for the Reds to prove and
demonstrate what they leraned in the last few games and a good chance
to see a victory again to boost their self esteem and confidence.
