SVDGC Past News

In October 1997, Jim Challas, published the first newsletter of the Silicon Valley Disc Golf Club. It announced plans for work sessions to install the initial baskets. There are plans to incorporate as a non-profit organization and board members are being sought. The second newsletter was mailed in May of 1998. The third newsletter was E-mailed in November, 1999.

Tom Schot from Santa Cruz is the course designer and has spearheaded all the efforts with the Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation Department. Jim Challas has assumed the load as the local organizer.

Monthy tournaments are being planned for the second Saturday of each month. The first monthly tournament was played on December 13, 1997.
