What is a familiar?

A familiar is a Mage's pet. These pets do have some magical qualities, although very few. Essentially, they can go off ahead of their owner, or even in place of them, and in essence, spy for them. Their owner can see through their eyes when need be. They are very loyal creatures, and only do their master's bidding. They can be a variety of animals. We only have a few listed here. A Mage or Necromancer can have a familiar at level three.

Kinds of Familiars

Cat: Any color and such. Would seem just an ordinary house cat.

Raven: A large black bird. Good for long distances.

Rat: Can slip through small places quickly and effectively

Wolf: Any color and such. These are fiercely loyal, and tend to be quite protective of their masters.

Owl: Any size and color. Best for seeing at night as well as sending correspondances.

How to acquire your familiar

Simply send word to the GMs by way of a simple correspondence. Please include the type of Familiar, color, size, and their name, so that we may add it to your inventory quickly.
