"Damn CD player," Paige muttered as she hit her portable CD player repeatedly, trying to get it to work, to no avail.

"Paige, what are you doing?" Justin asked, walking into the room just as Paige threw the CD player across the room, connecting with the wall near Justin's head.  "Damn Paige, what the hell," Justin muttered, ducking.

"My damn CD player just died," Paige whimpered as she sat down on her bed.

"Well if it wasn't dead already, you just killed it."

Paige glared.  "You're so damn funny, you know that?"

Justin laughed at the look on Paige's face.  "I know."

"I'm so glad that you're amused by this," Paige said, sticking her tongue out at Justin.  "I needed that piece of junk."

"So just pick up another piece of junk at Radio Shack or something tomorrow before we leave for Dallas."

"No, you don't understand, I needed that piece of junk to help me sleep."

"To help you sleep?" Justin asked, perplexed.

"Yes, to help me sleep.  You know how you sing to yourself to help you sleep sometimes?"

"Well, yeah," Justin said, catching on.

"Go ahead and see what CD was in there."

Without a word, Justin walked over from where he was sitting next to Paige, walked to the remains of her CD player, picked it up and opened it.

"The soundtrack to Pokemon, The First Movie?"  Justin scrunched up his nose.  "Pagey, I think my brother's been leaving his CDs with you again."

"Don't be an idiot Justin, that's my CD.  Why would Jon even own a CD with one of YOUR songs on it?"

"Is that why you have this?  Cause Somewhere Someday's on it?"

"Well, yeah," Paige replied, suddenly getting very self-conscience and nervous.  "The sgon calms me...  I've been listening to it for a year, I got it the day it came out because a radio station played some of the song and I fell in love with it.  Your voice has been singing me to sleep for the past two years, and I can't sleep without it."

Justin thought a moment, then put the CD on the night stand, and deposited the remains of the CD player in the trash.  "Lay down."

Paige forrowed her eyebrows.  "Uh, why?" she asked, suspicious of Justin's intentions.

"My intentions are good, trust me.  Now get comfortable, lay down."

Paige layed down on the bed and let Justin's arms snake their way around her shoulders.  "Comfey?" he asked.

"Yes I am, now what are you gonna do to me?"

"Will you be quiet for once in your life?"

"Yes, I'll be quiet now."

With her last word, Justin started singing softly in her ear.

"When clouds above you start to pour, and all of your doubts rage like a storm, and you don't know who you are anymore, let me help you find, what you've been searcing for... somewhere there's a field and a river, you can let your sould run free, someday let me be the giver, let me bring you peace... somewhere there's a break in the weather, where your heart and spirit go free, someday it'll be for the better, let me bring you peace..."

Justin looked down, and sure enough, Paige was sound asleep with a smile on her face.  He pondered whether he wanted to move her or not.  He looked at her, sleeping so soundly and so confortably in his arms...  He didn't move.

She was so perfect for him, she supported him completely, understood what he was doing with his chosen career because she had chosen the same path.  They were both extremely busy people, but when they had some extra free time, they spent it together.  The two were inseperable when they were together, going on tour together made it easier to be near each other.  Justin always made sure that their hotel rooms had adjoining doors so if she ever needed him, if she ever woke up because of a nightmare or something, which she unfortunately did at least once every other week or so, Justin would be there to comfort her and get her back to sleep, or stay up with her watching MTV After Hours or BH1's Insomniac Theater until everyone else woke up.  He'd be exausted the next day but it would be worth it., having spent the night with Paige.

She was everything to him, and he intended on doing something to make her see exactly how much she meant to him...

"You can call me selfish, but all I want is your love.  You can call me hopeless, baby, because I'm hopelessly in love.  You can call me unperfect, but who's perfect?  Tell me, what do I gotta do to prove that I'm the only one for you?  So what's wrong with being selfish?"

Paige read the note silently, tears forming in her eyes.  She put the CD that came with the note in her new CD player and hit play...  The words that came out of Justin's mouth made the tears fall.

She walked out of her hotel room, not bothering to shut off the CD player or shut the door behind her.  She got in the elevator and hit the button for the ground floor.  Once in the lobby, she found Justin sitting in a chair reading a magazine.  She walked over to him with a purpose and coughed to get his attention.

"Pagey, why are you-"

Paige leaned down and kissed Justin, cutting off his question.  "Justin, do you know what you are?"

Justin was silent.

"You're selfish.  You're hopeless.  And you're unperfect.  And you know what else?"

"What?"

"You just proved yourself to me.  Thank you."
