| "I swear, Taylor, that girl is MINE," Zac yelled, giving Taylor a violent shove toward the door. Cassie watched from the couch, horrified at the display in front of her. She winced as Taylor hit the door, and then ran toward Zac with his arms out. "Zac, you don't know what you're talking about," Taylor said, tackling Zac to the ground. "She's mine." "I saw her first, there is no way in hell that I'm gonna let you get her," Zac said through clenched teeth. He threw an arm out to attempt to punch Taylor, but his arm stopped in mid-swing when Taylor kneed him in the stomach. "You saw her first?" Taylor spat out. "That is such bullshit." "Guys, stop it," Cassie said, running toward the two boys who were rolling around on the floor, determined to beat the living hell out of each other. "This is stupid, you both have to stop it. Right now," she said calmly, standing in front of them, her hands on her hips. Zac stopped his hand before he grabbed a hold of Taylor's hair. He realized how dumb this really was... He looked up at Taylor and rolled his eyes. "Get off me, man." Taylor frowned and glanced at Cassie, who was now impatiently tapping her foot against the carpeted floor of the dressing room. Isaac sat in the corner, not making any effort to disentangle his two younger siblings; if they had to fight to get whatever rage was out of them, then let them. "Yeah. This is stupid, sorry Cass," Taylor muttered, standing up and brushing the dust off his jeans. "But you know that we both like you," he said sheepishly, trying to conceal the blush that crept up his cheeks as he spoke. Cassie nodded. "Yeah, I think it's kinda obvious at this point," she said with a quick roll of her eyes. Zac cut in. "Well... I know this is really stupid. I know it. But Cassie, you really have to understand... I saw you first, I've liked you since-" "Did we not go over this already?" Taylor asked, narrowing his eyes at his younger brother. "You didn't see her first, that's complete and total bullshit and we both-" "Don't start this again," Cassie groaned, turning away from them and heading over to where she had been sitting before. "No, Cassie, stop," Zac said with a grimace, putting a hand on her shoulder. "That came out completely wrong. That wasn't what I meant." Cassie turned around. "What did you mean, then?" Zac opened his mouth and closed it after a few seconds. "I guess I don't know." "Cassie, we have to resolve this somehow," Taylor said. He sighed. "Why don't I just... umm... Go out with each of you?" Cassie said with a slight shrug. Seeing the looks on the boys' faces, she tried to explain herself. "If I go on a date with both of you, it might be a little easier to pick." "Yeah," Taylor muttered, looking from Zac to the floor. He looked back at Zac. "I'm in if you are." "You betcha," Zac replied, narrowing his eyes ar Taylor. Cassie smiled, not really sensing the tension between the two younger Hanson siblings. "Good. Tay, why don't we do something tonight?" "Why does he get to go first?" Zac asked defensively. "I'm going in order of age. And name. I'm being fair," Cassie said quickly. "I'm trying to, anyway. Zac, we can do something tomorrow night, is that good with both of you?" They both nodded their replies. ~*~*~ Cassie awoke with a jump. She wiped the sweat from her brow, glancing at the green numbers of the alarm clock next on her bedside table. 4:15AM. She sat up and swallowed. Had she really dreampt that Taylor and Zac were fighting over her? She got out of bed and padded to the bathroom, filling a glass of water and sipping it in front of the mirror. When she finished, she splashed some of the cold water on her face, as if to wash away the dream. Or nightmare, whichever your preferance. Instead of going back to bed, she went downstairs and logged onto AIM, seeing if there was anyone on to talk to. Spotting the screen name fastnfurious0101, she smiled. Cassie turned off the computer and padded up the stairs. She sat down on the side of the bed and looked out the window thoughtfully. After a few seconds, she layed down and closed her eyes. She felt an arm snake its way around her. She smiled at his touch. "Did I wake you up?" "Kinda," he replied groggily. "Why did you wake up?" "I had the oddest dream. About Taylor and Zac." His features contorted with confusion. "You had a dream about my brothers?" he asked. He turned to face her. "Why?" She shrugged. "I have no idea. It was weird, they were fighting over me." Isaac rolled his eyes. "Well they don't get you. I do." |
