Orphaned Raccoon Care

RaccoonPrimarily nocturnal, Raccoon may travel in small groups foraging for fruits, vegetables and other small animals.  He is an excellent swimmer but feels more at home in trees.  Raccoon is often seen sloshing his food in water before eating.  Symbolically, hands represent holding or receiving.  If Raccoon appears to you, it might be asking you to let go of a situation, person or habit.  On the other hand, he could be telling you to reach out and embrace the gifts being offered to you by Great Spirit.  Raccoon is quite often found sitting high up in a tree.  From his vantage point he can observe everything around him and see danger long before it arrives.  Extremely curious, Raccoon leaves no stone unturned.  Curiosity has its advantages and its disadvantages.  Following ones curiosity can open doorways into new and exciting territory, but curiosity applied without caution can lead to trouble.  Raccoon is a persistent robber and does not tire easily.  He is often spotted around camp grounds foraging for food.  Because of his masked face, Raccoon holds the energy of disguise, magic, and secrecy.  Hiding behind his mask, Raccoon can take on several identities at once and play out different roles.  Seldom does he reveal his true identity.  Raccoon loves adventure and will lead us down a road to many new discoveries.  Raccoon has an air of indifference about him when and if he is caught in the act of a robbery. Provoked, he can become ferocious.  Strong and muscular, Raccoon can hold his ground in most all situations and teaches us to do the same.  Raccoon is a powerful ally and holds the gift of transformation.  If Raccoon appears in a person's life, the many faces of self are about to be revealed.
