I never paid much attention to birds, but our guide, William, turned birds into a new fascination in my life.

There are so many different kinds of birds in Africa!

It took me a while to get this black-collared barbet on film!

While this one seemed to be visiting with me.

Storks are everywhere, like this saddle-billed one.

There were also owls,

and the most majestic of them all: 

Eagles

I saw many common birds, unidentified, but just as beautiful, like this lonely one which seemed to be thinking of magnificent landscapes seen from the sky.
