Here's how you play. Put one of your 'Buffy' collection tapes in the VCR and make sure it's at the beginning. You should now be good for 6 hours worth of Buffy entertainment Take a bottle of your favorite beverage (soda, right?) and sit down on your couch in front of the TV with a bunch of friends. Each of you take only ONE page of the drinking game. Whenever something happens onscreen that is listed on your sheet, take a drink. (A much quicker and far more suicidal version of this game is when, instead of following only your own sheet, each person calls out every time something on the list comes up. This is often referred to as 'the lemming version' of the game, and is probably only good for one or two episodes at most.) When the tape runs out and the lights come up, anyone who is able to stand up straight is a winner. There might be more than one of you, but it probably won't be a problem given that by this stage it is doubtful that you will retain the ability to count. On the plus side, even episodes that you've seen twenty thousand times will take on new meaning when playing this game. Ready? Of course you're not! Go ahead, and have fun! Take a sip whenever...*A good guy dies *A major villain escapes instead of getting killed *Angel broods about his past (this one gets pretty harsh during "Angel") *Angel goes topless or nude (Happens a LOT third season, lucky us.) *Angel lurks *Angelus smirks evilly *Angelus wears leather pants *Buffy wears Angel?s leather jacket **Twice if anybody besides Angel or Buffy wears leather *An insane villain is introduced *Someone who?s supposed to have left town or died shows up *Anyone besides a Slayer kills a bad guy *Anyone who's supposed to be a good guy attacks another good guy *A parent besides Joyce is seen or heard *A Slayer besides Buffy appears or is mentioned *A Watcher besides Giles appears or is mentioned *A vampire other than Angel kills another vampire. *Buffy acts like a complete ditz *Buffy and Angel kiss. (If they don't take a breath in between or even break contact, it counts as one kiss.) **Twice if Buffy kisses someone who isn't Angel *Angel and Buffy have a sex scene -- flashbacks count! **Twice if people besides Buffy and Angel have a sex scene *Buffy complains about being the Chosen One. *Buffy complains about her social life *Buffy talks about her hair *Buffy cries *Buffy gives someone her Clueless Look (the one where she looks at them as if they just started to speak Swahili and she's too polite to mention it). *Buffy has a dream **Twice if anybody besides Buffy has a dream *Buffy pulls a stake out of some unlikely place like her hair or the back of her shirt (those things end up in the strangest places!) *Buffy stakes a vampire after saying something witty. *Someone makes a pop culture reference and Giles doesn't get it. **Twice if you don't get it. *Buffy, Xander, or Cordelia says something unexpectedly intelligent, and then follows it with a comment like "Research boy comes through with the knowledge" or "What, can't I have knowledge?" *Citizens of Sunnydale overlook a public disaster or magical incident *Cordelia and Xander make out in a closet. **Twice if Cordy is making out with someone in her car. ***Three times if it isn't Xander. *Cordelia displays depth *Cordelia insults Xander or vice versa **Twice if it's a really good insult (ex. the insultee cannot come up with a witty comeback). *Cordelia is the unwitting target of any random demon's mischief. *Cordelia is with the Cordettes. *Cordelia makes a play for Angel or some other guy interested in Buffy *Dru keels over. *Dru talks to or about her dolls *Every time you hear: a) emotional piano music or b) that theme from Becomings I & II (and Surprise). This rule is especially useful because pretty soon, you'll be too buzzed to mind when they play it yet again. *You see a ?Widespread Panic? Sticker *Giles acts like a walking textbook in tweed. *Giles cleans his glasses *Giles feels the need to research something or consult his books. **Twice if someone else does, and he doesn?t. *Giles gets hit by somebody **Twice if it's in the head *Giles lectures Buffy about her duties *Giles (or Spike) says something markedly British. **Twice if you don't understand. *Giles reverts to Ripper-mode *Jenny makes Giles squirm. *Joyce refers to parenting books. *Joyce says something horribly ironic (ex. "You see? Sometimes I do know what you're thinking.") *Mass research-party (count if includes four or more people) *Oz acts even vaguely upset *Oz says something polysyllabic *Oz discovers something while researching. *Oz?s hair has changed color from a preceding scene *Oz makes a severe understatement. *Oz plays his guitar *Spike cracks a witticism. **Twice if it's to Buffy and she responds in kind. *Spike shows his soft spot for Drusilla. *Somebody acts really weird -- and is actually just plain bananas, rather than possessed or whatever. *Somebody has an axe **Twice if it's somebody meek (Willow, Giles, etc.) *Somebody gets kidnapped *Somebody goes to the hospital *Somebody gets let in on the Slayer deal *Some vampire babbles on forever about something about vampires in weird vampire textbook talk. **Twice if you understand. *There?s a truce or alliance between anybody who?s supposed to be a good guy and any villain *The Slayer Squad comes up with a seemingly supported, logical, rational explanation that makes perfect sense and seems consistant with all available evidence, and turns out to be completely wrong. *They have to perform some ritual and somehow, all the necessary ingredients are conveniently at hand. *Willow says something really funny and then is suprised that she said it aloud. *Willow spits her foot out of her mouth *Willow makes an error while doing a spell. *Xander acts dumb around a beautiful girl. **Twice if she?s not human. (Does not include Cordelia!) *Xander and Cordelia fight. **Twice if they kiss immediately afterwards. *Xander falls for a girl either taken or bad for him *Xander goes topless or is in his underwear and nothing else. *Xander hangs his head or does the puppy-dog look (that look that makes all the girls go "aww..."). *Xander runs like a woman. *Xander saves somebody?s life *Xander spaz-dances. *****Drink the whole bottle, and go get more, if Joss is on an acid trip -- because you're gonna need it. DRINKING GAME FOR MORMONS:Sorry, but this part of the game has been removed, or we'd have a lot of drunk Mormons on our hands. There is nothing that *never* happens on the show.
