Water
Water is always good for you. Proper hydration is a crucial part of a diet/health program. There are several benefits to being well hydrated. If you have enough water, it will aide digestion, improve the tone of your skin, help to keep your system clean, and make you feel fuller so that you are not as hungry. Many times, people eat because they are thirsty. The next time you feel like having a snack, try drinking an entire glass of water first, and see if you are still hungry.
Many people wonder what kinds of drinks will fill your water requirements. Most will tell you that you have to drink 8 glasses of pure WATER per day (64 ounces). I think that there may be some leeway here. For instance, you could probably get away with Kool-Aid. Be careful. Caffeine and carbonation may counteract the effects of water. Caffeine is a diuretic, so it will cause you to lose water. Fruit juices MAY work, but they also have calories.
There are three ways to tone up. First, eat a low fat diet. Second, lift weights. Third, drink water! Flab is made up of three possible components. Fat, loose skin, and water. Lifting weights will add muscle, and the extra muscle will fill in the loose skin. Drinking water will flush out any water you are retaining.
Many times, your body will try to retain water if it is not getting enough fluids.
Priorities
There are some foods you really love, and there are some you almost have to make yourself eat. Most people tend to favor breads, starches, meat, and dairy (ICE CREAM). However, fruits, vegetables, and water are often ignored. I find that I will eat more breads and meats than I should, and I neglect to eat fruits and vegetables. For me, I have to make fruits and vegetables a priority. How can you eat more fruits and vegetables? Perhaps, you should arrange to eat the fruits and vegetables first, and the other things later. Try to start eating the things you lack most. For instance, maybe you could add a piece of fruit to your breakfast, and carrot sticks to your lunch. If you don't' drink as much water as you should, you may also want to drink your water before you eat. If you put fruits and vegetables as a priority, then you are more likely to eat the amount you need. We are sure to do what we put first, all other things are optional.
