Between 1861 and 1865, as the American Civil War raged across the United States, over 50,000 Canadians were involved in the fighting.

Now, 140 years later, the Southwestern Ontario Civil War Round Table meets monthly to discuss, debate, dissect and reflect on the events of the American Civil War.

Founded in 1994, the Round Table now numbers 40 members and continues to meet in St. Thomas, Ontario.
