Recently, the SWOCWRT Website received this e-mail:
Dear Southwestern Ontario Civil War Roundtable and friends,
My name is Adam Lazarus and I am a theatre artist in Toronto. I'm writing to you because I am currently helping spread the word about a new Toronto play that could interest you and your group.
It's called Eternal Hydra by Anton Piatigorsky, directed by Chris Abraham. It's a literary mystery about an author whose masterpiece is discovered 60 years after his death. Upon the novel's discovery, questions of race, art, authorship and ownership arise. It really is a stunning piece of writing..and theatre!
What I'm doing is helping get the word out for the show from the ground up. contacting people and discussing the play, why they might like to come, how it could be relevant to them. In essence, I'm promoting going to the theatre and being part of a community. I would love to have a chat with you if you have a few moments to discuss the play's relevance to a civil war enthusiasts (the central mystery of the play revolves around the American Civil War) and answer any questions you might have.
Please do let me know if you'd like to talk further.
Cheers,
Adam.
