Booking in
When requested, book in as soon as possible to avoid delays in heat sorting etc.
If you have a preferred crystal frequency, then you may request this when you book in. It is not guaranteed that you can use this if there are frequency clashes to resolve. Do not request a crystal change after the heat listing has been posted unless you have problems with the one allocated. Laziness is not a reason to change. Amendments to the heat listings are not allowed unless authorized by the race director. [back to top]
Practice and setting up
Due to a lack of help setting out the track at the start of the evening, anyone not helping will not be allowed to practice. Any late arrivals after the track is set up and promise to help to put away at the end of the evening will be allowed to practice.
Practice procedure is for everyone to have a peg with their name on it. When you need to practice, put your peg against the frequency on the peg board. If a peg is there already, then do not turn your transmitter on. Wait for the driver to remove their peg first. [back to top]
Race manners
This is not a full contact sport! Drive with due care and consideration for your fellow competitors. When being lapped, move over at the earliest opportunity. When lapping, give the car in front time to move over, do not punt the car out of the way. When racing for position, defending the position is obviously allowed, so the following car must be careful not to knock the leading car out of the way. Whenever possible do not use reverse if your speed controller is fitted with one. This usually results in a collision with the following cars. Wait for the marshal to rescue your car - it's usually quicker. No shouting at the marshals - it's not their fault - you put your car their. [back to top]
Marshalling
Marshalling is not optional. If you race you will marshal. It is not fair to other drivers if they are kept waiting or there is no-one to marshal their car when needed. If you don't want to marshal then don't race. Substitute marshals are allowed. If marshal positions are numbered, go to the position corresponding to your car number. [back to top]
Helping
Its everybodies duty to help at all times. Setting out quickly means more time for racing . At the end of the evening, please stay behind and help put the equipment away. Any shirkers will not be welcome the week after!! [back to top]
General
Any disruptive or unruly behavior will not be tolerated. When a race is in progress, do not walk on the track. Damage to yourself and/or car may result from a collision. [back to top]
