thoughts on the wod

Johnathan Master's thoughts on the WoD and their inhabitants.

Assamites - Fast, silent and efficient. I can respect that. Good thing we've never had any real arguments. We've just tried to kill one another.

Brujah - Tough fighters but one question? What exactly do theyintend to do after they've torn the foundations down? *waits for screams of differing opinions from the Brujah* Uh huh. I thought so.

Caitiff - No fault of theirs they were born as they are. But damn it, they have no one to blame for their lack of spine. Grow one people, no matter what is say you're not children.

Gangrel - They're family. Proud, fierce, stubborn, honorable. Frustrating. Mule headed. They're still family but sometimes...

Giovanni - What's the Camarilla's current policy on them again? Damn. Look, these people play with the dead. Go make up your own minds on how sick they are.

Lasombra - I can't really tell you much about them. The only ones I remember meeting have been over the barrel of a gun.

Malkavian - Two things about Malks. Firstly, they're all irevocably insane. Secondly, they're insane in very different ways. Don't judge one till you've talked to him and maybe not even then.

Nosferatu - Nice fellows inside with a very useful information network. Just try not to stand downwind of them when your talking.

Ravnos - Ravnos. *lips thin* Some are alright, some just need to be shot. Try to keep at least 5 feet worth of distance between you and them if you have to talk. That way you won't lose all your valuables. Just half.

Setites - Snakes. That's a good a nickname as any. Kill them if you can get away with it, get someone to do it for you if you can't. Trust me, the world's a better place without them in it.

Toreador - Smooth talkers, the beautiful people. Personally, I'd prefer not dealing with them. They talk too much and your never really sure what the hell they've said anyhow. Still, if you have to play the political game, they're a good group to watch and learn from.

Tremere - The Tremere seem to enjoy taking everything and they leave nothing to build from. Not because they don't know better, just that they seem to think that they can conjure whatever they need.

Tzimisce - Where exactly did you see them? *reaching out to pat his shotgun*

Ventrue - Like the Tremere they take. Unlike them, they actually leave something behind. Of course it's not enough but at least they've begun to realise that lately.

Daughters of Cacophany - I've heard of them but never seen one. I'm still not sure they're not just another group of Toreador who decided to give themselves a nice name.

Gargoyles - Hard as hell and they punch hard too. I'm not rushing into another fight with one and I wouldn't suggest you do too. Good allies, bad enemies. But slow...

Samedi - I saw one once acting as a bodyguard for a paranoid Prince. That he let a walking corpse so near him shows you how paranoid he was. Had nothing to say to them now and I still don't.

OOC Note : I've left out a lot of groups here. The reason is that for the most part Johnathan has never met them. If asked about the Salubri/Baali/Ahrimanes/etc. he'd repeat the name and wait for you to explain more. He's seen a lot but that not that much.

Fae - I've been told they exist but I don't think I've ever met one. The old stories say be careful in your dealings with the fae. A good saying to live by, anytime.

Lupines - They're a proud, honorable race fighting a losing battle. I can respect that. I like them - when they're not trying to kill me. Of course since they normally are...

Mages - I've met a few. They seem alright but bending reality seems wrong. I doubt I'd ever want to get cuddly with them. It just seems wrong.

Mortals - Keep the Masquerade. They're better off not knowing about us. Trust me.

Wraiths - I've seen a few ghosts true enough. But really, I don't like them. No offence, but I've got enough of my own without having a couple more tagged on.

Cathayans ((Kindred of the East)) - Everything I've heard about them reminds me that there are still a lot of places in the West that I haven't seen.

Camarilla - In theory, great idea. In practise as in many things it falls short. Still the best option that has presented itself for Kindred as a whole.

Anarchs - Nice idea. Where exactly are you going though? It works in LA but that's mainly because the most Elders there actually believe in this. Want to bet that won't be the case the world over?

Sabbat - I think a large number of someones were hit over the head with a shovel too hard. Ever actually stop and listened to yourself and then taken a GOOD look around? No... didn't think so.

Inconnu - Well, I can say I don't know much about them. From what I understand, no one does. Maybe one day when I'm really tired and bored of living I'll ask them. Say another milennia or two?

Arcanum - Strangely enough, this is one group of individuals I haven't run into. I hear they're pretty harmless which is good. Come to think of it, maybe that's why. I can like mortal hunters like these.

Inquisition - Right. A group of mortal hunters backed by the Church who've survived how long? If they're in town I suggest you don't be. Or find a nice hole and pull it in over you.

Frenzying - We're meant to understand and control the Beast not let it take over. Sure, use it, but never let it get out of hand.

Gehenna - You're telling me the end of the world is coming? Take a look around you. My clan's know it for a long time. Trust me, we don't even need the Antideluvians to destroy us. We're doing a good enough job of it ourselves.

Golconda - Nice thought. Peace with the Beast. Or is it return to mortality? People seem to get it mixed up quite a bit. Still, a nice thought. One up there with world peace. Maybe one day.
