Level 1
- Knowledge that vampires are real
- Understanding of what does and does not hurt vampires (e.g. silver = no, wooden stakes = yes, bullets = yes but not much, garlic = no, "holy water" aka tap water from churches = no.)
- Knowledge that there are more than 1 type of vampires
- Ability to name and recognise at least 3 common disciplines uses.
- Knowledge of the Camarilla and Sabbat (i.e. that there IS the Camarilla and the Sabbat)

Level 2
- Ability to name all 13 major clans
- Knowledge of at least 6 clan weaknesses
- Knowledge of the 3 sects and the Anarchs
- Ability to name and recognise at least 7 common disciplines
- Ability to properly name Rotschreck and the Frenzy and to understand the triggers for both in detail.
- Has heard of the Book of Nod
- Has heard of and understands what Gehenna is about (i.e. rising of the Antideluvians and death of all Kindred).
- Knowledge of most common Kindred terminology
- Has heard of the "Eastern Brethren"

Level 3
- Ability to name 3 major Bloodlines
- Ability to name the extinct clans (Cappadocians and Salubri)
- Know of which clans compromise the majority of the Camarilla and the Sabbat
- Has read at least one version of the Book of Nod.
- Can at least recognise that Lilith has a part in Kindred history.
- Ability to name all the common disciplines (i.e. all disciplines held by the major clans) and recognise their use - Can specifically name and understand significance of 3 major events in general Kindred history. e.g. Cartage, Council of Thorns, the Inquisition, the First City, Enoch, the Anarch uprising, etc.
- Better understanding of the KotE - i.e. use of different discipline which are unknown and their dislike of all Western Kindred
- Can draw the current areas of influence of each sect and note traditional bases of powers for each Clan
- Knows at least 3 possible names of the Antediluvians (and yes, Tremere counts).

Level 4
- Ability to name all common bloodlines and their disciplines
- Knowledge of the 6 Traditions and their ties to the Book of Nod
- Has read at least 4 versions of the Book of Nod
- Better understanding of Liliths role in Caine's history
- Can roughly date the destruction of the extinct clans as well as the possible events surrounding their destruction. (Tremere hunting Salubri and the Giovannia hunting the Sabbat)
- Can chart the general history of the Kindred and the specific major events that has seen major changes throughout their culture as well as the current day effects of each
- Able to understand and reliably guess at the influence that Kindred have had on Kine history and on current events
- Ability to acknowledge the current and past areas of influence of each major clan and the changes that have occurred.
- Know the possible names of at least 6 Antediluvians and abilty to speak of the general knowledge of the "dead" Antideluvians (i.e. Lasombra, Tzimisce and Brujah).

Level 5 aka Don't bother
- Knowledge of which Antideluvian is and is not alive
- Has a full and authenticated copy of the Book of Nod and has read it. Many times. (i.e. the one we can all buy in RL - with whatever changes the ST wants to add for his chronicle).
