Old Updates Archives

May 15, 2002 - Transcript, quiz, and quotes for "Fuhgeddaboudit" now available. Man, that was an amusing episode, hee!

May 14, 2002 - Some good news - I have finally begun to update this site. First up, transcripts, quizzes, and quotes for "Harbor Lights" and "Love In Vein." Enjoy!

May 6, 2002 - The season finale was cool, wasn't it! James Cameron's directing really made a difference, I thought - there were some awesome shots in there. I was unhappy that none of the plotlines were wrapped up: the virus (can't believe that is STILL around), the Familiars and White (hope they don't play as big a role in next season), Max and Logan's relationship (we shippers only get one scene?!). Anyway, I feel that if the show isn't renewed, the ending will satisfy me. I appreciate that it wasn't a real cliffhanger, but was open enough to need resoluation next year. But if DA is cancelled, I think that eventually everything will work out okay because the transgenics decided to stay together. And the fact that Normal changed his mind at the end shows that there is definite hope that humans can learn to accept transgens. I haven't heard about the ratings yet. They will definitely affect FOX's decision to renew or not. But I can't see why they would cancel DA just when all the merchandising is starting (soundtrack, action figures, anyone?). Keep your fingers crossed!

April 21, 2002 - Haven't been able to update the site for a while due to schoolwork (finals coming up!) but hopefully in a couple weeks I will be able to get caught up. Perhaps in time for the season finale, perhaps not. The last couple episodes have been really good, and I'm really excited to see how the season closes out - the clash between humans and transgenetics that has been building for so long, Max and Logan's relationship, the breeding cult (hopefully we can toss that storyline along with thw virus plot). The possibilities are endless! Hee. And it looks very promising for a third season of DA, so I hear, but we won't find out for sure until May.

March 24, 2002 - This week's ep is a repeat of "Harbor Lights." I didn't get a chance over my school break to update the site. Some news - James Cameron, the man himself, will be directing the two-part season finale! This is great news, and I have reason to hope that his touch will make for a memorable episode, as well as bring public attention to the series. I'm also glad he's taking a more active role in DA finally.

March 17, 2002 - Happy St. Patrick's Day! Well, "Fuhgeddaboudit" (am I even spelling that right? I'll have to check) was a really awesome episode! Every time I get depressed at the quality of this season, they throw a good episode our way that reminds me of the first season! It was the most entertaining hour so far this season, I think, mostly because it was so funny. Logan and Alec's "bonding" was hilarious, and all the M/L interaction was excellent too. I liked the character of Mia, she was actually a good TOW, with unique powers. We don't know much about Manticore's psy-ops division yet, so I'm intrigued.

March 7, 2002 - Thanks to everyone who has made my site so popular! I keep getting emails from Geocities about using too much bandwidth, meaning my site is turned off and unavailable for certain periods of time. So if you're unable to view it once in a while, I apologize, and please try again later. I will have to see if it's worth it to upgrade for more bandwidth. New episode tomorrow, don't miss it!

March 3, 2002 - After an extended break, DA is back this week with a new episode!

February 24, 2002 - While you're waiting for the next DA, try the new quiz for "Borrowed Time." Then try some other quizzes. Read some transcripts. Sign my guestbook. Look at some photos. Twiddle your thumbs. Wait, wait, and wait some more for the new episode ... yeah, it's a pain. *grin*

February 18, 2002 - The quiz for "The Berrisford Agenda" is now available; also good and bad quotes from the same episode and "Borrowed Time."

February 14, 2002 - Happy Valentine's Day! I have added new pictures in the Cast gallery, Max gallery, and Other Cast gallery. BTW, I noticed that I seem to be stuck typing "2001" rather than "2002" every time I update this page. Whoops. Sorry if I confused you! Also, I'm pretty much finished rearranging the images galleries. And lo and behold, new navigation buttons on this page! Ooo ahh! *grin*

February 13, 2002 - All you Max/Logan shippers click here for the transcript for "Borrowed Time". And don't forget, please sign my guestbook! I love to hear from all you DA fans and would like to know who's viewing my site (and hopefully enjoying it). Thanks!

February 12, 2002 - Added the transcript for "The Berrisford Agenda." It's a bit different from the others due to the fact that half of it is flashbacks (hence all the italics), so go check it out and revel in Dark Alec! :)

February 9, 2002 - "Harbor Lights" was a great episode after the disaster that was the Gossamer. No DA for the next three weeks, though.

January 31, 2002 - Please note the TIME CHANGE - Dark Angel has moved to 9 PM, same day, same network. Be there!

January 27, 2002 - Stuff for "Medium is the Message" and "Brainiac" is now available. I have redone my Cast and Characters page, adding links for biographies and filmographies for the DA cast. Also, I am rearranging my image galleries somewhat - hopefully you can still find what you want, but I apologize in advance for any broken links you may encounter. I have added new pics, also, in the cast images, Max images, and other cast images.

January 24, 2002 - Ok, who just loved "The Berrisford Agenda"? (*raises hand*) Yeah, me too. What a good episode! It reminded me of the better ones from Season One. Jensen Ackles did a great acting job as Alec, too. As many others have also said, the stories dealing with the psychological Manticore scars are much more effective than the monster-of-the-week plots. Anyway, I have added new transcripts, quizzes, and quotes for "Some Assembly Required" and "Gill Girl." Enjoy!

January 13, 2002 - New updates include transcripts, quizzes and quotes for "Boo" and "Two". Also, quotes for "Designate This" and "Bag 'Em". I had totally forgotten about quotes for those first two episodes! Oops.

January 12, 2002 - I have started updating the site again. New transcripts, quizzes and quotes for "Proof of Purchase" and "Radar Love" have been added. Just follow the links. Also, I have decided to get rid of the few screencaps I had on the episode pages. You can find good screencaps at the DarkAngelFan website. "Brainiac" was a pretty good episode, and I'm looking forward to learning more about Alec's past in a new eppy next week.

December 16, 2001 - Next new DA isn't until January 11. "Medium is the Message" was an enjoyable episode, I thought. I have mentioned before how much I like Joshua's character, so I was glad to see him get a plotline yesterday. I loved how the art dealer accepted him for who/what he was; I think that's the first time we have seen a "normal" human (ie, not Max or other Manticore kids) treat him with respect and not react with fear or digust. Yay! The main reason I liked this eppy was because it reminded me of the stories from the first season. You know, an Eyes Only case for Logan to solve with Max's help, them working together without too much virus angst, etc etc. There have been too many Manticore freak-of-the-week episodes this season for my taste. Regarding the Manticore symbols turning up in the caves, I really wish that the characters wouldn't automatically jump to the conclusion that a genetic engineering program was around way, way back. I tend to think that Manticore appropriated the symbol because someone thought it was a cool logo, but obviously that's not where the writers are going with this. As for me, I'm a bit overwhelmed with finals right now, but I will be on Christmas break soon, and will hopefully be able to update this site over January.

December 8, 2001 - Hey, I really liked "Gill Girl" last night! Could have been very, very bad, but it wasn't. I felt bad for the two actors who played the merman and mermaid, though - wouldn't it suck to get a part on a big TV show like DA and have no speaking lines at all?! And I totally could have done without the gratuitous club scenes, but it was still one of the best recent eppys, IMHO.

November 30, 2001 - I just got an email from the bigwigs at Geocities - seems this page has become a bit too popular and is exceeding their memory limitations on page downloads or viewings. Or something like that. Their solution is to block access to the site when the limit is exceeded, so it appears that the site will be down briefly from time to time. I will look into how to prevent these blackouts, but I won't have time to make any major changes until my school break. So ... if you can't access the site one day, please just try again later. I think it's great that my site is getting some heavier traffic. Just spreading the Dark Angel love around! New episode next week, don't forget.

November 23, 2001 - Yup, no new episodes until the first week of December. *sniff*

November 21, 2001 - First of all, I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving! At least the break will be appreciated. I was kind of happy to see Zack again in last week's "Some Assembly Required." I was never a big fan of his, but it was mainly because I saw him as an obstacle to Logan and Max's relationship. But he was a good guy in terms of really caring about the X5s. It was so sad to see him trying to remember his past and regain his life. In other news, I think tomorrow and on the 30th DA is being pre-empted.

November 10, 2001 - The overall opinion I was left with after "Two" was the state of Logan's hair - it's getting WORSE! It really bugs me. :-) So as not to seem too shallow, I also really like the development of Max and Joshua's relationship. That's all for now.

November 4, 2001 - I have completed my Games page with the addition of the Dark Angel Magic 8 Ball. Ask it about what's in store for the rest of the season, or any other silly question. Try it and the rest of my fun little games here! And sign my guestbook, please! By the way, I thought I'd register my disappointment with the last episode, "Boo." Ick. Don't want to be a downer, but the episodes this year aren't as good as last year's. But don't let that that keep you from watching now! Gotta blaze.

October 22, 2001 - I have created a handful of Dark Angel games for fun. They're classic games with a DA twist, so please check them out. Simple, but entertaining! DA Games

October 21, 2001 - Brand new quizzes for Season Two have arrived! Take your pick: "Designate This" or "Bag 'Em".

October 20, 2001 - I had a rare afternoon free of homework, so I decided to get going on the material from the new season! First up, episode transcripts for "Designate This" and "Bag 'Em" have been added to my episodes page. And I have created a guestbook, so please sign it and let me know that you were here (and what you thought!). I love getting feedback about this site, and I welcome your constructive comments also. Click here to sign my guestbook. Thanks everyone!

October 19, 2001 - Sorry, I haven't added anything new for a while (darn schoolwork!) but I will try to add some stuff from the new season soon. IMHO, episode three "Proof of Purchase" was such a relief! The show is veering back towards the classic Seattle episodes with good ol' Max/Logan tension and Jam Pony scenes. And Joshua is adorable! So I am happy even though baseball playoffs pre-empted tonight's episode. And a final note - email from fans about my site is so cool! You people rock.

October 7, 2001 - So what did you think of the first two episodes? Personally, I really liked the premiere, "Designate This," but the "Bag 'Em," the second epsiode, was much, much worse. I think the new characters like Joshua and Alec will be interesting, but I miss my Max/Logan shipper moments! Also, I hope the change in scheduling doesn't end up killing the show. So far, the ratings have been good for a Friday night, but they're still much less than ratings were last season. Just wanted to post my two cents. Peace out. :-)

September 28, 2001 - Just in time for the second season premiere, I have added the final two quizzes from the first season, the "Pilot" quiz and the "Heat" quiz. Oooo, I'm getting psyched for the show tonight - this season is gonna be awesome! You know where I'll be tonight at 8. For an enthusiastic and thorough discussion after (like always), check out the message boards at Eyes Only.

September 22, 2001 - The season premiere is this Friday, don't forget! It was pushed back a week due to the tragedy on the 11th. I was horrified at this deliberate attack on our country, and the destruction of not only building and many lives, but also our sense of security. It was especially scary for me because I am living in Washington DC and that morning I felt the city's panic and fear. My heart goes out to all those who have been affected by this tragedy. It has been amazing to see how people are pitching in to help and coming together all over the country. This spirit is the reason America will survive the attack and become stronger than ever. Anyway, that said, I have added quizzes for "Flushed" and "411 on the DL." Click on the links.

September 2, 2001 - The summer's winding down - soon it's back to the school grind for me. Anyway, check out the quizzes for "Prodigy" and "Cold Comfort".

August 29, 2001 - I have added quizzes for "C.R.E.A.M." and "Blah Blah, Woof Woof".

August 28, 2001 - An update of Jessica sightings from last week -- 1) She was at the Teen Choice Awards, where she won Choice Television Actress, or something to that effect. Michael was sitting with her. 2) I finally saw her L'oreal ad. Kinda cool. Lots of flicking her hair around, like she mentioned on her talk show appearances. 3) She was also in another ad, an AIDS awareness public service announcement. So keep your eyes peeled while watching TV!

August 18, 2001 - Click here for the "Out" quiz.

August 17, 2001 - Ok, first of all, quizzes for "Red" and "Art Attack" are up. Secondly, quotes for those episodes have also been added, which means that my quote pages are complete for the entire first season. Thirdly, I saw an ad for the new DA season Tuesday during "Murder in Small Town X" and it looks really good! Basically the preview was a lot of quick images, including some from the last season. A few things I noticed: Max and Logan are reunited; some kind of monster/human; both Max and Logan are sporting different hair - hers is longer and straight, and his is flattened, not spiky (I think I liked his old hair much better). I'm sure they will be showing it again a lot before the premiere, so keep your eyes open while watching FOX. Anyway, I'm sure you are getting excited for the new season too!

August 14, 2001 - Check out the new "Rising" and "The Kidz Are Aiight" quotes and quizzes.

August 10, 2001 - "Female Trouble" and "Haven" quotes and quizzes are up.

August 7, 2001 - New additions: quotes and quizzes for "Pollo Loco" and "Shorties in Love." So check them out!

August 5, 2001 - I added quotes and quizzes for "I and I am a Camera," "Hit a Sista Back" and "Meow."

August 4, 2001 - Today was all about the season finale. I added the final transcript for the first season, "And Jesus Brought a Casserole". I updated my quotes page and added good and bad quotes from the same episode. And finally, my first episode quiz is up! Hold the applause, please. :-) Take the "And Jesus Brought a Casserole" Quiz and see how much YOU remember about the season finale. Peace out.

August 3, 2001 - Transcripts for "Hit A Sista Back" and "Meow" are now available.

August 1, 2001 - Transcripts for "Pollo Loco" and "I and I am a Camera" have been added.

July 30, 2001 - Transcripts for "Haven" and "Shorties in Love" have been added.

July 27, 2001 - Click here for the transcript of "Female Trouble."

July 26, 2001 - The transcript for "The Kidz Are Aiight" has been posted on the episodes page.

July 23, 2001 - I'm sure you've heard by now that Dark Angel was renewed for another season. It will be moving to Fridays at 8PM eastern. Actually, they already moved it to that time slot, so you can view reruns then during the summer. I really enjoyed the last two episodes of the season, and from the responses I've seen in the forums, so did the rest of you. Questions abound - Is Zack really dead, really really dead? (Who knows?) Will Max escape from Manticore again?? (Umm, probably right away) LOL. Anyway, I am looking forward to the season premiere on September 21. I'm going to try to get all up-to-date on the material from the first season before then. First up, I've added the transcript from C.R.E.A.M. which apparently is rare online, since a lot of sites don't have it. (At least, I can't find a good copy) So, here it is. It really takes a long time to do one of those. More to come later.

May 4, 2001 - Wow, it's been a while! School keeps me really busy this time of year, sorry for the inconvienence. So, only three more episodes left in DA's first season. :-( Although FOX doesn't announce its official fall schedule for a week or two yet, the rumors and predictions I've heard suggest that the show WILL be renewed for a second season. It is expensive to make, but it does well ratings-wise and has brought a lot of publicity to FOX, so it would make sense not to drop it. (And also not to piss James Cameron off!) Let's hope it does return . . . In other news, the awesome DA message board at Fan Forum is in danger of being shut down, so I urge you to go and show your support. The board is so entertaining and there's a great community of DA fans - I would hate to see it disappear. That's all for now!

April 7, 2001 - Transcript for "Rising" has been added.

March 31, 2001 - Some more new pics have been added to the various galleries. The next episode airing is a repeat of "Blah Blah, Woof Woof," and the next new episode is on April 17. As far as I've heard, no word yet on whether the show has been renewed for another season. Keep your fingers crossed!

March 28, 2001 - Screencaps for "Red" and "Art Attack" are up, as well as the transcript of "Art Attack."

March 25, 2001 - Over the last week I have been updating a bunch of little things on this site. I fixed the nav bar links on the pages deeper in the site. There are some new pictures from the recent Entertainment Weekly that had Dark Angel on the cover - one new JA pic and a couple of new cast pics. Also, new quotes have been added to the quotes page, and three new ads have been scanned in also. It's back to the grind school-wise, so it may be a while until new updates. Buh bye for now!

March 10, 2001 - Episode transcripts for "Out" and "Red" are up. Anyone else looking forward to finally having a new episode this Tuesday? 'Bout time.

February 25, 2001 - I've been busier with schoolwork lately, so sorry for the lag in updates. Here's something, though - the transcript for "Blah Blah, Woof Woof" is up on the episodes page. Good episode - enjoy! And some new news, good news first. I heard that Jessica won Breakout Star of the Year at the TV Guide awards, which were filmed on Feb. 24 and will air on Fox on March 7. Yay! (But so much for surprises - oh well) Now for the bad news - the Feb. 27th and March 6th episodes of DA have been pre-empted (for a Dubya speech and Austin Powers - whatever), so the next new episode will air on March 13. It's called "Female Trouble." That's all for now.

February 15, 2001 - Screencaps from Cold Comfort, Blah Blah Woof Woof and Out. Check them out. Other news: Jessica has been doing a lot of publicity lately. She's appeared on Rosie and TRL (2/12), Conan O'Brien (2/13), the Daily Show with Jon Stewart (2/14). For transcripts of these appearances, go to Eyes Only. She is also scheduled for the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Friday, February 23 on NBC.

February 13, 2001 - New screencaps from 411 on the DL and Prodigy!

February 9, 2001 - I added lots of new pics to my image galleries and made some of the galleries into multiple pages for faster download time. Also, I worked on my Me page.

February 4, 2001 - Screen caps from Flushed and C.R.E.A.M. are up!

February 3, 2001 - My quotes page is up, with quotes from episodes 0-6. I decided to include my favorite bad dialogue as well as my favorite good lines, for a laugh. So head on over and check it out! Also, I added screen caps for Pilot and Heat. You can find those on the episode page.

February 2, 2001 - I have added more links to my links page after hours of surfing the net. You wouldn't believe how many DA sites there are out there, considering how young the show is. Just goes to show ya how popular it is, though. That's all for today.

January 31, 2001 - Hello, world! Ok, most of my site is up and running now. I will continue to work on it over the next couple of weeks between all my schoolwork, and I will try to keep it fairly up-to-date. The latest news awards-wise for Dark Angel is that Jessica Alba is a finalist in two categories for the 2001 TV Guide Awards: Actress of the Year in a New Series and Breakout Star of the Year. Thanks to everyone who voted for her! The awards will air Wednesday, March 7 at 8 pm ET on Fox. Watch and see if she brings home any nice shiny statues! For more info, go to tvguide.com.
