American Forest and Paper Association

In 2005, a record 51.5 percent of the paper consumed in the U.S. (51.3 million tons) was recovered for recycling. Paper recovery now averages 346 pounds for each man, woman and child in the United States. While this is a significant accomplishment, we can do more. The AFPA's goal is 55 percent recovery by 2012. Not sure what to do with all the recyclables your curbside company won't pick up? GUVSWD's Greenpages include an exhaustive lists of items you can recycle both at their facilities and at local businesses. Read through the whole list--you'll be surprised at everything you can recycle! On the Reuse Page, they give lots of handy tips for reusing materials and, for those pesky items you just can't find a use for, they list secondhand, charity, and salvage businesses where you can sell or donate your stuff.

These items are then inspected, refurbished and repaired through a job training and education program and sold with a guarantee of quality. People with low income, bargain hunters and antique dealers shop at ReCycle North for the low prices, excitement and fun.

The ReCover Store is an environmentally friendly, socially responsible business that provides funding for a non-profit organization addressing the urgent home repair needs of low-income, disabled and elderly residents of the Upper Valley. The store offers bargain-priced, used building materials, appliances and furniture for sale to the public. New items come into the store on a daily basis.
