I could not accept the idea, so I tried to commit suicide
by taking an overdose of sleeping pills and slashing my wrist. I was given
only a slim chance to live. In that condition, I dreamt of talking with God, begging Him to
take my life, but He instead asked me to confess my sins. When I called on
Him, a blinding light appeared. I woke up, feeling my life had changed.
From that time on, I tried to avoid my boyfriend.
One evening, I was
invited to a prayer-meeting of El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI in our chapel. The
Word of God touched my heart. I learned that homosexuals cannot enter the
Kingdom of God. I repented of all my sins, asked for God's forgiveness,
accepted in my heart Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and promised to
change. I had a haircut and started acting like a real man, the way I had
been created by God. Praise God for my new life!

I had a live-in
relationship with a policewoman for seventeen years. In 1990, I suffered a
severe heart ailment. I consulted several doctors but a cure was not
found. A friend accompanied me to the El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI office in
Makati City to ask someone to pray for me. Praise God, I was immediately
healed! Since then, I have attended the regular fellowships of the
Foundation. Later on, I was able to convince my lesbian lover to attend
one of the fellowships. But when Bro. Mike said that God never created
lesbians, she did not want to join me anymore. Since then, everytime I
attended a prayer-meeting, she would lock me out of our house. At one
prayer-meeting, Bro. Mike said, "Some people regularly attend our
fellowships, yet they remain in their wicked ways." Because of this,
I decided to end our relationship. However, she threatened to kill me. So,
I was forced to continue with our relationship. Nevertheless, I kept on
attending our prayer-meeting, asking God to give me the courage to do His
will. Praise God! On April 5, 1996, we parted ways! With the help of God,
I am now trying to live according to His Will. Since then, God poured His
blessings on me through my eatery business, and I eventually became a taxi
operator. Indeed, El Shaddai is the God Who is more than enough!

I started
developing homosexual tendencies in my early childhood. At the age of 12,
I ran away from my hometown in Samar to seek a better life in the city. I
went to Olongapo City, where I worked as a bar dancer. There, I had
relationships with men, one after another. After a while, I moved to
Bulacan, where I worked as a beautician. There, I had also several
boyfriends. One of them became my live-in partner, but our relationship
ended after he eloped with his girlfriend.
Sometime
later, I was convicted of illegal recruitment and was jailed for seven
months. While serving my jail term, I learned of God's mercy through the
fellowships conducted in jail by various Christian groups. I promised God
I would change for the better. But after being pardoned, I moved to Manila
and opened my own beauty parlor. I returned to my old life and once again,
got into troubles. I had financial difficulties and found myself heavily
indebted. Worst of all, I lost my parlor.
In August
1993, I was invited by a friend to attend the 9th Anniversary of El
Shaddai DWXI-PPFI held at the Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park, Manila. I
was touched by the testimony of a reformed homosexual who had begun living
a new life in Christ. I was moved by the Word of God in Leviticus 20:13,
which says, "‘If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman,
both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death...’"
I realized then that I had been living a sinful life. I repented of
all my sins, asked for God's forgiveness, and promised to live according
to His Will. I put away my dresses and ladies' accessories, and had a
haircut. By the grace of God, I am now married and have a good job.
Indeed, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone,
the new has come! Glory to God!
