I am a native of Senegal, West Africa. I grew up in a family and a society that adhere to the Muslim faith. I came here in Libya to avail of a scholarship at the Arab Medical University in Benghazi. In 1997, I successfully graduated with a degree of Doctor in Medicine. During that period, I learned about Christianity, yet I did not know the Lord Jesus Christ fully well. The pursuit of worldly happiness was still one of my priorities in life. Being a physician who worked in the Coronary Care Unit of a hospital, I knew very well that an excessive intake of alcohol could damage a man's body. Yet drinking liquor with my friends was an ordinary activity for me. On January 1998, from Benghazi, I came to Tripoli to gain some clinical experience. |

One time, I was invited by a prayer-partner to attend an El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI prayer-meeting here. I was touched and so moved by the Holy Spirit as I listened to the Word of God, which says: "Do you know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral... nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers... will inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). I realized then that I had been living a sinful life. Thus, I repented of all my sins, asked God's forgiveness, and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Since then, I never failed to attend the El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI Tripoli Cell Group fellowship every Friday. Gradually, God changed my life and delivered me from my vice. Even my close friends could not believe what had happened to me. Indeed, receiving the Lord Jesus Christ in my heart, trying to live by His Word and committing myself to Him changed my life! Thank You Lord for redeeming me and giving me the joy of Salvation, freedom from social degradation and a true sense of humanity. Today, I have completely devoted my life to our Lord Jesus Christ. Ousmane Soh, M.D. Three years ago, after disclosing to a friend about my problem on boredom, he quickly suggested smoking as a solution. I heeded his advice by joining a group I called Professional Smokers. I started with two sticks of cigarettes a day until I became a chain-smoker. Because of this bad habit, I suffered from tooth decay, body odor, frequent illnesses, and other effects of smoking. On several occasions, I tried to quit smoking but I failed. After realizing that only God could help me with my problem, I started to attend Holy Mass every Friday. One evening, I received a copy of a free publication of El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI from a Filipina. While going over its contents, I was touched by the testimonies of the miracles that God performed in the lives of members and followers of the ministry. I decided to attend the weekly prayer-meeting of the El Shaddai DWXI-PPFI Tripoli, Libya Cell Group. Through listening to the Word of God, I was delivered from my vice and became the first African to join the ministry. With the help of the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, I was able to bring some African brothers to the ministry. May God be praised forever! Bro. Joe Wordi |
